Hi there,
This functionality is actually provided by WordPress itself and is not dependent on the theme.You can enable it by following the steps below:
- Go to Appearance → Menus in your WordPress dashboard.
- Click on Screen Options in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Enable the “Link Target” option.
- Now expand the “Face-to-Face Meetings” menu item under the “Meetings” dropdown.
- You will see a checkbox “Open link in a new tab” — simply check it.
- Click Save Menu.
Once done, that menu item will open in a new tab.

Since the site was running on Responsive v3.16.3 and is now updated to 6.3.3, that’s a very large version jump. Over time, the theme has undergone major structural and feature changes, so layout/UI differences are expected.
Because the site already uses a child theme built for the older version, some template overrides are likely no longer compatible with the latest parent theme.
I recommend generating a fresh child theme from:
https://cyberchimps.com/child-theme-generator/Then carefully update/adjust your child theme templates and CSS according to the current Responsive theme structure (don’t copy old files blindly).
Also, please do all changes on a staging/testing site first. Once everything looks correct, then apply the changes to the live site.

You can make the header transparent through the customizer.
Please follow the below steps:
1) Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize
2) Header -> Transparent Header -> Enable on Complete Website
Your gradient will now be applied to the header as well.
