In reply to: [Link Scanner] time outLet’s say we have a site with 3.000 posts, and each post includes at least one link to an external site. This means that the plugin has to check 3.000 links before it displays results in the browser. Even if it spends only 15 seconds for a link, it needs 12 hours to check everything. No increase in the PHP.ini would permit the execution of this job, and if it did, how many users would like to wait 12 hours before they get any response after the activation of the plugin? The wise thing would be to open a dashboard and give options, letting the user to get first a list with the links, and letting him choose what to test, or how many links to test at a time, etc.

In reply to: [Social comments by WpDevArt] “0” Comments CSSHow is that? At the plugin settings there are options of changing typeface, font size, etc. Therefore it IS possible to apply CSS in various elements.

In reply to: [Breadcrumb NavXT] Missing field “id” in Breadcrumbs on Google Search ConsoleIt seems that when you link the current page the missing “item” issue disappears but then you get the missing “id” issue!
Hi Victor! Today I received the following notice from Facebook. I’d like to ask, if you know, leaving my app as it is, without replying to the reviewer with new screencasts and explanations, would perhaps mean that my app will lose only the following permissions, or that it will be rejected? As you know the answer to this question is important, because all current users of your plugin maybe they can just “suffer” this rejection of unwanted permission and continue using the app without problem.
Here is Facebook’s notice:
Access to the permissions and features listed below will expire on Mar 3, 2019.
user_gender
user_friends
user_age_range
user_link
If you still require access to these permissions and features, please submit for App Review to avoid losing access.
Thanks for your advice. Trying to do as you say, I can’t find the log that includes the message about permissions. In my version of the plugin there is only a log containing the titles of posts that have been shared so far.
Trying to explain them that it’s irrational to ask for admin privileges, it seems that we have found some workaround. They told me to send even more detailed screencasts. I hope this will work finally, but they also denied me manage_pages and publish_pages permission, saying that my app can function and do what I need to do without these permissions! Is this true? Should I ask them again to grant these permissions? Are they necessary?
Hi Uriahs. I have the chance to thank you for your great plugin, it has been a real helper in communicating my posts to people who are interested. Unfortunately now I’m forced to abandon it. I won’t give admin permission to the guys at Facebook, I just don’t feel safe. In my opinion they follow a stupid procedure, but stupid or smart I won’t accept it. Therefore I’ll have to learn to live without your nice plugin. I hope in the future some change of politics over there at Facebook will permit once again to install the plugin. For now, just a kind goodbye and thank you so much!

In reply to: [Auto Limit Posts Reloaded] show featured image thumbnailsHi Akhilz
I’m afraid this cannot be implemented because it would cause conflicts with the layout of several themes.

In reply to: [Social Share Motivator] Like instead of shareHi Nathalie,
That’s right, for technical reasons, they are called to share by “liking” the post. Sharing is used in a broad sense, not in the Facebook strict sense.

In reply to: [Auto Limit Posts Reloaded] many errors with debug enabledChecked again using the exact settings that you mentioned and it gives these PHP notices indeed! Such notices are not significant, but they may be an obstacle to other developers trying to debug their plugins. So I fixed them. Please contact me at
http://www.thefreewindows.com/about/contact/
to give me an email address I can use to send you the updated version of the plugin to check also yourself if it works on your installation before I release it officially.
