Ah! Thanks for this, let me see what I can do on my end!
I also see that the CookieYes code is appearing twice in my source code – being a WordPress.com user I don’t edit source code, and the engineer is sure the plugin is responsible after a few checks.
I also notice that enabling CookieYes stops Google Ad consent from loading as well – I do not have GCM enabled – even though I have in the past, and the website scanner gives the OK to when active.
I’ve left the plugin in stalled but the banner disabled for now. Let me know if I can help further.- This reply was modified 1 year, 6 months ago by theqreditor.

The plugin is active, but I have disabled the banner to avoid problems with the site’s content.
A WP Happiness engineer took a look and saw the following error, which they thought might be of some use to you. I have attached the image.
No problem for the wait.
I have now re-enabled site accelerator, image and static files, and see no difference in my site’s performance on pagespeed insights.
I don’t seem to be running very much that could be conflicting with Jetpack, the site being based on Guttenberg blocks/Postx Guttenberg, which are pretty lightweight.

Whilst I have you here, is there any reason why I have Ads slowing my homepage when I have my homepage excluded from Ads in the Advanced Ads backend?

The combination of steps has restored ads! Thank you very much for your help.
I have created a dummy ad, to appear after para 1 in placements, and nothing is showing.

Manual insertion with a shortcode of any ad, including dummies works.

I disabled breadcrumbs in the theme, and so the issue is resolved for now.
