Y, pretty sure this has to do with the theme needing to be updated. Unfortunately for me, the sites that I have this issue with are hard to update because they have custom code (i.e. didn’t use a child theme.) I’m going to bite the bullet and update one of them. I’ll get back to see if this resolves the issue.
Any update on this. I’m facing exactly the same issue. Could it be an issue related to the theme? The site in question uses Salient.
If you host your email externally and use a control panel like Plesk, you need to deactivate email for the domain. If email is activated for the domain, the server will try to send it through the internal DNS – and the email address will not exist there.
