everything is stored in your database, usualy in same location with default language
for example your post title in database will look like {:en}EN Post Title{:}{:es}ES Post title{:}{:ru}RU Post title{:}
forgot to mention, i’m using classic editor
Hi, had an outdated version so I updated a few versions to the latest one and detect the same problem, I tested all versions one by one until fond last working version, which was 2.0.50
after short investigation seems span with anchor id is not created in headign tags
adding filter in funtions.php fixed the issue
