Thank you very much, deleting the plugin file from my file manager like you suggested, and then first uploading the previous version, and then updating the plugin, seems to have worked – only remaining issue, is that my maps no longer display, but at least people can see my events again!!Any odeas on how i can get my maps working again will be greatly appreciated!

Suggestion here – seems like you are bringing out a LOTof versions, and that errors are being introduced because of “continuOUS improvement fatigue” – i would recommend using a system of “continuAL improvement” instead: planned releases at predetermined intervals, and only after testing and review

Thanks for the feedback. I saw that my theme also made provision for a API key, and deleted it from the Theme, but i still receive the same error – any advice on wht else i can try to fix?

However, your answer left me with more questions than answers… here goes:
– why did the removal of jquery migrate only affect the functioning of Auto-optimise on my website, and not anything else?
– why, if WordPress is moving AWAY from jquery migrate, would you recommend re-enabling it with a plugin?

I would not have came here if i were not sure that Auto-optimise was what is causing the problem, and you are questioning what i am telling you from the start, so, please provide me with an email address, i have ELEVEN screenshots to send to you..

In reply to: [Autoptimize] After the WP 5.5 Update, Auto-Optimise is crashing my siteHi, none of the elements on my homepage displayed correctly, and using the Google “inspect” tool, showed that the culprit causing the errors was auto-optimise. PHP errorlog showed the same – only Auto-optimise was causing the error.
I then came here to the forum, and saw that you recommended for others to disable lazy-load and the JSS, which i did, but it did not fix the problem, However, when i disabled Auto-optimise completely, the problem was fixed.
When it is clear that Auto-optimise is causing the problem, I am not going to switch themes or to disable/enable all plugins, i simply dont have the time to do all of that, when i have already found the issue.
You need to fix the plugin to talk to WP 5.5, thats all there sis to it

I was able to fix it – the problem apparently occurred because of a conflict between WP PageBuilder and the use of Smartslider, and the people where i got my Agama Theme from, was able to fix it for me

i did exactly as you suggested, deleted the plugin file from my hosting providers, file manager, reinstalled the plugin, but it did not let me activate after installing, it seems to have self-activated..
Nevertheless, everything looks fine -ill let you know if i get another warning from wordpress
