Thanks. Deleted the file and re-running the scan now. 🤞🏻
Thank you for the replies.
The website is not IONOS. Does this still mean I can safely remove it?

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Deactivated plugin messageHi Jarno
I have tried following these articles:
https://complianz.io/definitive-guide-to-tag-manager-and-complianz/
https://complianz.io/importing-tag-manager-container/
However, the tag is still firing before consent, so I must not have done it correctly. I guess it is probably a very quick fix, but I have tried to follow the articles a few times and I don’t know what I have done wrong. If I buy the Premium version of plugin is support with set up available?

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Deactivated plugin messageAh ok. Well maybe it logs instances of the plugin being disabled in the past, even if it is enabled at the time 🤷♀️
I will try following the steps in the article – thank you.
Can I also ask, do you offer any type of 1to1 support (paid for) to ensure the set up is correct?

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Deactivated plugin messageYes, I understand that the notices on that page are not reported by Complianz. However, I am concerned because I have not disabled this plugin and yet the message says it is disabled. This concerns me because I have run a cookie scanner on the site and received the following high risk warning:
You do not collect consent for cookies and trackers other than strictly necessary ones.
You do not collect consent for processing personal data.
I am concerned that the two things are related. I thought having the Complianz plugin meant that I was collecting consent…?

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Deactivated plugin messageIt is definitely referring to Complianz. I have a screen shot but have no idea how to attach it here…
Thanks.
The pro-support link is not working so replying here.
Will the update be available for all sites soon? I have cleared the cache on several sites but 2.34.1 is not available.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] GTM Container IDHi
Thanks for your reply.
I am afraid I am still struggling with understanding how to balance data collection and complying with GDPR.
I am using GTM4WP to integrate GA and GTM with my website, and I am now trying to work out if I have configured everything correctly (including the Complianz plugin) so that I am able to collect useful data but also be UK-GDPR compliant.
In the Wizard, I have selected:
Yes, and Google Tag Manager fires this script
I have accepted the Google data processing amendment (in Google Analytics)
Google is not allowed to use this data for other Google services (in Google Analytics)
Acquiring IP-addresses is blocked (I’m not sure if this has been done – is there an easy way to check?)
Do you want to ask consent for statistics? Yes
Do you want to use ‘Consent per Service? Yes
My questions are:
Is there a simple way to check that the set up is correct? Is there a simple way to check if I the cookies/tags are only working after consent?
I am assuming most people will not consent to cookies because it is easier to dismiss the pop-up rather than opting in. Does this mean there will be minimum data?
I have read the below article about Configuring Google Analytics 4 for GDPR and have implemented the recommendations. Does that mean I will not be able to collect demographic data (e.g. town location) and search console data?
https://complianz.io/configure-google-analytics-4-for-gdpr/
Sorry for all the questions.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] How to get accurate resultsOk, thank you. I wasn’t aware that the cookies could remain on someone’s browser but not collect data.
Thank you for clarifying.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] How to get accurate resultsHi
Thanks for the screen shots.
I have also tested again in a new incognito window and have found that the stats and marketing cookies are not there to begin with and they only appeared with consent. So that’s great.
However, I am also finding that the cookies still remain even when I change the preference back again. Is that to do with a delay or some other reason?
(I have screenshots but can’t see how to attach them).

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] How to get accurate resultsHi
I’m sorry but that’s not what I’m seeing in an incognito window. The GA cookies are all there straight away and also don’t go when I select ‘Functional Cookies Only’….

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] How to get accurate resultsHi,
Yes, I re-ran the scanner this morning and updated the page.
It still wasn’t showing all the GA cookies so I have added the bottom two myself. The only thing I’m experiencing now is that the plugin isn’t blocking the GA cookies before consent. Is there anything I can do?
