HI there,
I just did a Test Gateway donation and it went through very smoothly. I noticed that when I very first loaded the page it did seem to load kinda slow, but I refreshed the page and then everything loaded really quickly and I had no trouble at all.
This might be because of caching plugins or server-side caching you have on your site. This doc we wrote can help with troubleshooting caching issues:
https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/caching/Have you had others test it as well? Also, which gateway are you choosing that is processing very slowly?
Thanks!

In reply to: [Simple Social Shout for GiveWP] Unable to see the Linkedin Social ShareHi @taraknathgorai – unfortunately, the Simple Social Shout addon is intended only for the “Legacy” forms. The new multi-step forms (which you are using on that page) already have social sharing in them.
So if you really want to have LinkedIn on the receipt page, then you’ll need to switch to the Legacy form for now.
But I’m adding your feedback here as a vote for adding LinkedIn on the Multi-step form.
Thanks!
Hi there. We JUST pushed a patch for that issue. Please update to version 2.9.1 and all will be well.
Thanks!
Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to document your frustrations here. I hear you. We work very hard to avoid anyone ever having this kind of experience, and far more often than not our free users and customers are extremely satisfied. That was clearly not the case for you and for that I do apologize.
With that said, I believe in our product and our team. If you do want to discuss using GiveWP again, please email me personally (matt at givewp.com) and I’m happy to walk through things with you to help ensure you have the best success.
So glad to hear it, and thank you for your kind words!
GiveWP is also VERY extensible, so if you have customization needs, reach out to our support team and we can give you some guidance on how to extend Give to do everything you need when it comes to online fundraising.
Thanks!

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Green spinning wheel!HI there,
Can you provide a link to your form so we can see the problem live? That will give us the MOST insight in how to help you troublehsoot this quickly.
Also, we have a troubleshooting guide related to AJAX issues in our docs, see here:
https://givewp.com/documentation/core/frequent-troubleshooting-issues/admin-ajax-blocked/Hi @fa1976itb — thanks for following up. Unfortunately due to some hiccups on PayPal’s side we had to postpone our integration until GiveWP 2.9. That is still progressing nicely but it will be a at least a few more weeks.
Thanks!
Thank you @andyekim ! Your kind words reflect exactly what we aim to provide, a great fundraising plugin with a great team behind it. Here’s to your success!

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] GiveWP Form Grid issueHi there,
It looks like you’re using Elementor. Is that our Form Grid shortcode, or are you using our free Elementor Donation Widgets add-on? That’s important for us to know in order to help you. But here’s a few things I’d try as well:
1. I’d just try deleting that widget and adding it again. It’s possible something got mis-saved in Elementor and it just needs to be refereshed
2. If you are NOT using our free Elementor add-on, I’d suggest trying that to resolve this.
Try those solutions, and if it’s still not working as intended, please give us more information about how you are implementing the Form Grid exactly in Elementor and we’ll get you sorted.
Thanks!
Hey there @patwright — it seems you had a less than ideal experience with GiveWP. That’s honestly not the norm with our users. We pride ourselves on our technical support and I’m certain we’d be able to help you have success with online donations if you reach out to our experts.
Here’s our support forum:

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Base plugin demoHi there,
Yes, if you look at the main Demo page, you’ll see that some of the demo cards say “Add-on” on them. All the ones that do NOT say “Addon” are part of the free plugin:
https://givewp.com/demos/We also recently published a new Getting Started Guide that helps answer this question as well:

In reply to: Donations PluginsHi @t-p Speaking for GiveWP, we support PayPal for free, but not Square (it seems you already discovered that). Feel free to inquire with us about our Square integration via our contact form:

I’d encourage you to try our free plugin though, for sure. Thanks!

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Donation Report@shihtzurescue — though you have to export all of the donations, once they are exported you can filter your spreadsheet by form name easily.
Our export tools are very powerful and full-featured. If you need to do some data manipulation our exports will give you everything you need.
See our detailed docs on this here:

HI @jimmathis Thank you so much for your very kind review — the success you’re experiencing is EXACTLY why we built GiveWP.
I’d love to hear more details about which features in GiveWP core are specifically unneeded or unwanted. The balance between whether it’s in Core or an add-on is a conversation we have continually — it’s been central to all our decision-making and NEVER an after-thought. We do generally want to make sure that the features that are in Core are what at least 80% of our free users actually need and want.
From my perspective as well, “code-bloat” is not the same as “feature rich”. Those are two different concepts. Bloat is code that sits unused and unneeded, whereas having a lot of features are a reflection of wanting to address the needs of our users.
Anyway, would love to hear more on your perspective there, specifically what — if any — current features are unneeded or unwanted.
Thank you!
