In reply to: [BuddyPress Group Email Subscription] Emails not being sent properlyThanks for the reply. This makes a nonesense of the Group mechanism. By having the Go-to-discussion link point to a Personal Activity page where anyone with the link can see what the original member is saying in other Groups (hidden, private or otherwise) is just ridiculous. What’s private about the activity in a group if anyone can access a members Personal Activity where they’ll see what the members written in any of the groups they’re a member of. A major re-think required if the value of Buddypress Groups is to be anything other than a publicly visible collection of statements that anyone with access to members Activity streams can view.
I just use my ISP provider’s (Krystal.co.uk) SMTP service.
Hi – thanks for the reply. We switched to WP Mail and it seems to work perfectly. Any emails sent with Post SMTP lost all the formatting. Setup the email exactly the same as WP Mail so can’t really help you any further with details.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Docs] When creating new doc no BuddyPress environmentHi David – yes that works for me in as much as the Doc’s layout is neater and makes better use of the screen. However, if you Create a New Doc, and press Cancel then it would be nice if one was returned to the original Group. As it is pressing Cancel does nothing and you’re stick in the Create New Doc window and the only way to return to the Group is to search out a link for it. Still am very grateful for the plugin and it certainly is an improvement on Group Docs – thank you to all.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Docs] When creating new doc no BuddyPress environmentI’m not sure if this is the same problem referenced here; but when BuddyPress Docs is used in a Group to view, edit or create a Doc, the screen layout is such that it is no longer in the Group format. None of the Group menu items are visible and so its not possible to return to the Group or access any group items without going through an elaborate procedure to find the relevant group. Furthermore, the edit, view and create sections only occupy 58% of the screen width. I cannot fathom out how to alter the CSS to use the maximum available screen width when viewing, editing or creating a Doc. The best of course, would be to be able to do all this, within the Group layout so that all the Group menus are still visible. Any help would be much appreciated – thankyou.

In reply to: [BuddyDrive] Buddy drive PRIVACY PREFERENCES.Not sure if this is the same problem; but after uploading a file from within my personal settings and setting the file permission to Private, there is no option to edit the file permission settings. Consequently, if I decide I want to add this file to a group I’m a member of, then I can’t do it. This is definitely a major set back in the useability of BuddyDrive.
