In reply to: Import External XML feedHi
They have an XML version located here:

In reply to: Import External XML feedI was sure that there would be a WordPress plugin that would be up to the task, disappointed that there isn’t and amazed that there isn’t.
How much would a project like this set me back?

In reply to: Import External XML feedHi, thanks for the reply.
I want to be able to create pages based on selected feeds (not all content). I could just copy and past the content but that would be against their rules. I have to have it connected some way to the live feed so if they change anything it would reflect on my site.If I could someway parce the URL of a particular feed into my sites url e.g.
http://www.ahernspharmacy.com/health.php?a=E&text=Ear+infection%2C+inner&uri=http://v1.syndication.nhschoices.nhs.uk/conditions/articles/otitis-media?apikey=MLMBBLYKThe above link is another website doing exactly what I wish to do and from the same source.

In reply to: Cant see admin area :(Problem solved! Even though I had removed the plugins the hooks were still there. I renamed the plugins folder and everything was okay. I then created another plugins folder and enabled, and copied over all the plugins one by one to see what was causing the problem. Once the problem plugin was identified I removed it completely.

In reply to: [Ultimate WP Query Search Filter] WooCommerceSorry, thanks! I figured it out!
Hi
Thanks for that. I actually changed the DNS records to point to the old installation and I started the entire process again, this time instead of manually changing paths etc in the database I used a plugin called ‘WP Clone by WP Academy’ which made the process easier and this time NextGEN is working fine!!
Thanks!
Hi
When I entered Gallery – Other Options I also got the
not defined for ExtensibleObject message.Where else would there be NextGen details in the database?

In reply to: [NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster] Lovin It!Its not my server, its the hosting companies server and I have no power to increase it either using the .htaccess file or wp-config file.
From reading on the net increasing memory usage on a server where your website resides on its own doesn’t cause any issues. But when you are on a shared hosting environment with hundreds of websites, then increasing the memory use would obviously cause issues.
At the end of the day I have three different hosting environments with three different companies and your plugin wont work on any of them.

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] BugI mentioned above that I changed the permissions to 777 temporarily. I reverted back to 644 immediately after applying the settings.
For me I wasnt able to login to the backend. What I did was used CuteFTP and edited the file that way.
I am a little disappointed that there hasn’t been any update from the authors about this big problem.
I had this on a huge number of sites I managed and all went down! I had no option but to remove the plugin completely.
This isnt an abandoned plugin as it was just updated!!
