    Since then, I’ve tried blocking the Baidu IP address range on Cloudflare.

    That appears to have instantly ended their residency.

    There were up to 20 of their bots at any one time, with IP addresses in the same range, all hammering away at the site day and night.

    Apologies for the slow reply – I took a long weekend 🙂

    Good news on the graphical view of the Tree, that will make a few people very happy.

    Another item has occurred to me while entering data and looking at how to display it. There does not seem to be any way to list “branches” of the Tree. In our case there are several main families; Kemp, Hill, Abbott, Woolhouse;
    – however, no easy way to list a particular family branch
    – and neither Categories nor Tags are available

    Have you given any thought to that aspect?

    Kind regards
    Ben

    Hi there

    Thanks – sorry, forgot to add that we’ve worked through the deactivate plugins, including renaming the /plugins/ directorory, and to the 2012 theme but the problem persists.

    Just stepped right through that again, no joy this time either…

    Cheers
    Ben

    If I create a NEW user with Administrator access, the same problem applies – the user cannot access /admin.php

    A suggestion on another forum was deactivating plugins, activating the 2012 theme. Tp do that, I logged in as an “Admin” user and cannot access /wp-admin/admin.php – as before.

    I can access /wp-admin/plugins.php etc e.g. I can see all menu items – including the BackupBuddy sub-pages.

    I then;
    1 – deactivated all plugins
    2 – switched to 2012 theme
    3 logged out / logged back in – but there is still no access to admin.php, so that issue remains.

    I’ve reactivated plugins and design theme, because this is a live site with lots of visitors…

    6 days have passed, it seems no one has any bright ideas that could help resolve this issue…
