I just went looking in Plugins. Thanks for the suggestion! There’s one for custom sidebars that might be the answer and some others for widgets. I’ll give them a try. Thanks!
Thanks for telling me about jetpack, though. I might just be going back to my original site, and I’ll definitely use it there.
My new site isn’t self-hosted, so I don’t think I can use jetpack. Is there a similar product for hosted sites? I made the move from self-hosted to hosted because I thought it would increase my options. It’s done quite the opposite.
