  • If there is an extra theme switch to it – if not add twenty fifteen and activate it.

Themes have a functions.php file that are very powerful.

    ok, 2015 is activated!

Check the plugins, If there are still no plugins, do the rename of the plugins file, wait and then change it back. Just like you did before.

Nope, didn’t work…weird, I can see each one in the file manager in Hostgator. Each folder is there! I don’t quite understand why they are missing from the wordpress website?

Was there an error_log from earlier?

Nope, I just went back to look for the plugins and they are still gone, I had 11 plugins and now there are only two.

Backup and Revolution slider are the only two left, why did they stay and not go with the others?

OK, time for Hostgator to look at things from their side.

Remember that there may still be a theme issue. You couldn’t change the original one but you could install 2015. So you might have to deal with that when hostgator gets their part right.

You might download the new version and have it ready.

Ok, thank you for your time!

Did you look at the plugins for proper permissions? If you didn’t, don’t worry about it. Be sure to let hostgator know you are dealing with a permissions issue. As I said, they can change all the files at one time.

I’ll be around for awhile…Giant’s are playing a west coast game starting in 30 minutes….and you are welcome. You did good…

And BTW, if you don’t already know for sure, check the revslider to make sure it is the latest version.
