In reply to: [Open User Map – Interactive Leaflet Maps] XSS Vulnerability👍
Hi @gamax10,
I had to remove that feature as it did confuse many people. But with the next update (1.3.27) you can make this available on your own. Here is how to do this. You need to wait for the update though.

In reply to: [Open User Map – Interactive Leaflet Maps] Cronjobs repeat themselvesHi @sanhosey,
Unfortunately I still don’t find you in my inbox. Please use the contact form as I suggested before.
You can deactivate the plugin and your locations and settings will stay in the database. But if you delete the plugin all locations and settings will be deleted too.

In reply to: [Open User Map – Interactive Leaflet Maps] XSS VulnerabilityHi @tmcguire,
Of course, I’m working on it.
As far as I know, this relates to authenticated attackers with administrator-level access. It only affects multi-sites and pages with unfiltered_html disabled. Nevertheless – this needs to be fixed.
Thanks for reporting,

In reply to: [Open User Map – Interactive Leaflet Maps] Cronjobs repeat themselvesOkay @sanhosey, I’ve already asked my distribution partner (Freemius) about this as I’m using their SDK. I will let you know as soon as I’ve got more info.

DanielHi @alexemmedesign,
I’m already planning to list locations outside of the map. This will basically work like the [open-user-map-gallery] shortcode, but with more information than just images.
To filter the marker icons you can use the “Marker Categories” feature (PRO) and to search for markers enable the “Search for location markers” feature.Best regards,
DanielI’m replying at this very moment 😀

In reply to: [Open User Map – Interactive Leaflet Maps] Cronjobs repeat themselvesHi @sanhosey,
I can’t recreate the error in my test environments just yet. Can you please verify with the help with this plugin that this cronjob is active?
And does the cronjob update the “cron” option in the options table?
Best regards,
DanielHi @znac,
I don’t provide any DSGVO-compliant information yet. But you are right, that IP data is transferred to the map tile provider. In case if the tile provider is Open Street Map you might find some valuable wording over here. I’m also offering a map style (Style #4) that holds its map tile servers in Germany and is based on Open Street Map.

In reply to: [Open User Map – Interactive Leaflet Maps] Maps QuestionsHi @annafa88,
- Yes, that is possible. You will need to customize the output of the location bubble. Here is a tutorial on how to do this.
- Please disable any caching plugin to see if the issue with missing icons and missing buttons persists. Eventually, disabling caching for the page that contains the map should be enough.
- I would recommend to adjust the initial position of the map globally under Open User Map > Settings > Map Settings > Initial Map View. A customization in the Map Block (or Shortcode) itself is not probably necessary.
- Please try to disable caching. And don’t forget to upgrade to the newest version (1.3.24).
- see 2
- I would recommend to add a text above the map that explains that users need to login first before they can suggest a new location marker.

In reply to: [Open User Map – Interactive Leaflet Maps] User gallery url pageHi @earl_d,
here is a working example:
https://www.open-user-map.com/demo-full-width/?markerid=4965
The number at the end of the URL is the post id of the location.
Best regards,
Daniel
