In reply to: [Open User Map] Automatic opening of a popup window with a descriptionAh, I think I understand what you are trying to achieve.
You can’t change the permalink of a page to have additional parameters. That’s the correct behaviour.
Instead change the link in the menu or button from where you are linking to the map page. You need to insert a “custom link” to your navigation or in your case you just need to change the link of the button on the home page.

In reply to: [Open User Map] Automatic opening of a popup window with a descriptionUnfortunately I don’t have a JS solution on hand. But it must be possible to set a link like this in Gutenberg. I tried it within a paragraph block and it works. Where do you want to set the link?

In reply to: [Open User Map] Automatic opening of a popup window with a descriptionStrange. I guess you will need to find a way to set the link correctly. Then it will work.
Additional Tip: Adjust the Zoom level (Open User Map > Settings > Map Settings > Search for location markers > Zoom level) to 10 to get a good zoom-in on the Location.

In reply to: [Open User Map] Extend map to WP user registration formHi @mvishal71,
I’ve reworked this now. Instead of setting the “User ID” field it sets a proper post author for the location. The “User ID” field is now redundant and will be removed.
This workflow ensures that the user can edit his own locations later on (if he has the right capabilities).
This will be available with the upcoming release (1.3.45).

In reply to: [Open User Map] Export/Import issueHi @mvishal71,
The field “user_id” is not related to the user that created this location. In fact it relates to the user that has been created when the Extend WordPress user registration form with „Add location“ map feature is enabled. So in most cases it will be empty except you are using the mentioned feature.
To solve the use case you are describing, I’ve now added a “wp_author_id” field to the export/import. It holds the ID of the WordPress user that has created this location. This will be available with the next update (Version 1.3.45).

In reply to: [Open User Map] Pins disappeared from the mapHello Maja,
You can do two things to narrow the problem down:
- Please check if your locations are maybe “pending” or in “draft” mode. They need to be “published” to show up on the map.
- Have you activated a translation plugin? If so, it could be that your (before existing) locations are not assigned to a language. To me it looks like you are using Polylang as a translation plugin. This link explains how to assign existing content to a language.
Does this help?

In reply to: [Open User Map] https://numismatic-directory.comHi @annevoelkel,
In this case I would recommend the following workflow:
- Export all locations again to a CSV file
- Change the values in the “address” column to “Link to Google Maps” and save the CSV file
- Import the CSV again
- Bulk Edit all locations from “Draft” to “Published”
This will replace the address values with “Link to Google Maps” in the subtitle.
Best regards,
Daniel
