Hi again, just figured out the issue — I had missed it previously…

    The problem:
Braintree for WooCommerce CANNOT be activated if Campaign Monitor Dual Registration is ALREADY activated.

Once I disabled Campaign Monitor Dual Registration, I was able to activate Braintree for WooCommerce and then reactivate Campaign Monitor Dual Registration.

Whew. Glad that issue is finally resolved. :/

    Cheers!

    /wp-admin/plugins.php?activate=true&plugin_status=all&paged=1&s=

    Does this help?

    Totally stuck here…please help. Thanks!

    Hi Clayton,
    Does this help? Make sense?

    Thanks Clayton,

    I’ve set WP_DEBUG to true.

Can you tell me where I will be able to view the error message? I tried running the activation process last night with WP_DEBUG on, but wasn’t able to see an error message..sorry for such a naive question, but where does one find the error message? It is not showing up in the browser…I just get the message: “Oops, you blew up the internet”.

    Thanks!

    Hi @whitelamp & Mr. Clayton,

    I am having a similar issue…

I had no trouble installing and activating this plugin (Braintree for Woocommerce) on my staging server, which contained several other deactivated braintree plugins, but I cannot seem to activate the plugin on my live site without crashing the whole system.

As far as I can tell there should be no conflicting plugins on the live site (all plugins on the live site are also activated on the staging site, plus the staging site have several others activated…)

Any recommendations? @whitelamp, what was the solution you implemented?

@mr.Clayton – any known issues/conflicts with other plugins?

It may be worth noting I do not have WooCommerce installed on this site (nor the staging site).

Please advise, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. (I have already purchased the product with support)

    Thank you!

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Regardless, I’m very much looking forward to using this plugin. I’ve been searching and trying other plugins to integrate with Braintree for weeks, and your’s far away is the best.

One recommendation: make it easier for folks who DON’T want to use Woocommerce to find this plugin. In other words, update the description/name so it is immediately clear that Woocommerce IS NOT required to use this plugin; that it can be used as a stand-alone option for wordpress/braintree integration.

I say the above because, in my attempt to find a solution for integrating wordpress with braintree WITHOUT woocommerce, I almost didn’t even review this plugin. Indeed, I only looked at it (finally) after giving up on my attempts to integrate without woocommerce.

Anyway, I appreciate the work you’ve done here, and will be purchasing a license with support shortly. Looking forward to it!

PS: please let me know if you add the ability to reference subscriptions with a shortcode in the future! 🙂

Thanks Franky! For the time being I’ve switched to another plugin. The reason was it required 1 less step for the user to check out. Other than that minor UX issue, your plugin offered more (and more powerful) options, but for the moment, one less step for the user is important to me.

If you are interested in tackling this Braintree thing I am very interested in both re-implementing your plugin AND donating! (by all means, the latter is clearly important if I use your work!!!).

Also, I’d be interested in your thoughts around simplifying the UX to allow a one step registration process like I was able to get with “Quick Event Manager”.

    Thanks and best regards!!

    Aidan
