    Hello @shogathu ,

Thanks for your feedback! We’re sorry that version 5 didn’t meet your expectations. We understand your concerns and are actively working on improvements, for example we have already added back the customer scheduling option, which we also plan on further fine tuning, and are bringing back a lot more functionality and improving usability in upcoming short-term releases.

Rolling back to the previous version is something you already did on your own, which is good considering the issues you have encountered, so we kindly ask your patience and understanding as we’re bringing more features and encasements in the new UI. We’re fully committed into making BackWPup better than ever.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Our goal is to make BackWPup more simplified, yet with all the functionality and features that advanced users require. We are working on adding back functionality that was missing in this update. Hi @acurran ,

We’re sorry to hear that version 5 hasn’t met your expectations.
Currently, our top priorities include addressing user concerns about the two-job limit, scheduling, and backup file formats. These are areas we’re focusing on improving based on the feedback we’ve received.

In the current UI, you can still perform a database backup and download it from the “Settings” page under the backup history section using the dropdown. While it’s not the one-click solution you were used to, it’s a workaround until we can make further improvements.

If you’d consider sticking with us a little longer, you can revert to the previous version while we work on these fixes. You can download it here.

We hope to earn back your trust with our upcoming updates.

In the meantime, you can revert to the previous version while we work on these fixes. You can download it here.

    Hi @avanrens ,

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your frustration with the current read-only mode and the two-job limitation. This was intended to simplify usage, but we recognize it has caused inconvenience for many users.

    Hi @darkstudio ,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your years of trust in BackWPup. We’re truly sorry to hear about the challenges you’ve faced lately, and we completely understand how frustrating it must be to encounter instability and the loss of features that were important to your workflow.

We want to assure you that we’re actively working to address these issues and improve the product from the ground up. We’ve already added custom scheduling options and backup history, and backup file formats are coming this week.

    Hi @saganaki ,

We understand your frustration and appreciate your feedback. Our goal with the latest update was to enhance usability, but we recognize that some changes may not meet every user’s expectations.

While cPanel backup tools are an option, BackWPup still offers flexibility with scheduled backups, cloud storage integration, and WordPress-specific optimizations. That said, we’re actively working on refining the experience based on user input.

If you’d prefer the previous version’s functionality, you can roll back to v4.1.7 by downloading the equivalent version from here.

Your insights are valuable, and we truly appreciate your patience as we continue improving BackWPup.
