In reply to: [Knowledge Base documentation & wiki plugin - BasePress Docs] Just rightMade our day! Thank you so much for the kind review.
Thanks for the kind review. Since BasePress is structured a bit differently, the article order is done differently. And is available in the paid version of the plugin. Here’s an documentation on article order in BasePress.
The premium version has Articles Order option.
Simple go to wp-admin > knowledge base > Articles Order
Then select the knowledge base and section from the top and all articles will be shown to you.
Then drag and drop articles in the order you like.
The premium version has an article access restriction feature where you may allow role-based login access. But…
What you need is a bit different. From what I understand, you want to set one password/access code that all your guests can use to access the knowledge base.
I recommend using something simple like https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/password-protected/ plugin.
The articles order is a part of premium version of the plugin. And that is why you are not able to see it.
If it suits your requirement, please purchase paid version of the plugin from our website.
I am checking the link you mentioned and I am not able to see the header and footer at all. By any chance, this is controlled by the main theme you are using?
Create a new page where header and footer appear and then add [basepress] tag. Things should be fine. IF header footer appears on a common WordPress page just fine but when you add [basepress] tag, it disappears, then it is a problem.
Do let me know how it goes.
Looks like you have
“Skip loading of header and footer” setting ticked in
wp-admin > basepress > settings > appearance
Untick and this should work.
I am glad this is resolved now.

uploads folder meaning your theme’s folder in uploads.
i.e. -> wp-content/[your active theme folder]/basepress/modern
I think this knowledge base article should help more on this

Can you please use the contact form on our website and send me a screenshot of this error + logins to your site? Here’s the process on how I would troubleshoot it.
1. Disable other plugins one by one to see whether it conflicts with anyone?
2. Switch the WP theme you are using to a default one to see whether the theme is the issue? This should mostly be enough to figure out the problem. If not, I will look further on why this is happening.
Look at the last column “count” in your screenshot. They have 0 articles assigned under those “categories”. Once you add at least one article under them, they should appear just fine like the hardware category.
Hope this helps. If you liked our product and support, can you please add a review? Your review will help our small business.
Hope you do.
ThanksUnfortunately no. We do not have any plans to add front end editor or article submissions at the moment.
One of our article in the knowledge base mention a shortcode that you might work for you https://codesavory.com/basepress/knowledge-base/features/search-bar/
Also, there are theme files and theme functions documentation available that may help you?
Thanks for this tip. I am sure this would help others.
