Just to clarify I think BuddyBoss is a fork of BuddyPress instead of BBpress: https://www.buddyboss.com/buddyboss-vs-buddypress/

So I remember before we tested BBpress (which is a forum plugin) and we don’t see much issues. I think this issue is on BuddyPress which is a social plugin for WordPress. BuddyBoss is a fork of BuddyPress.

To reproduce this issue for now while the WPRIME package is not available, we will test using BuddyPress plugin. For your update. Thanks 🙂

    Hi Jakob,
Thanks for using Prime Mover plugin in moving your BBpress site. Yes the plugin is still have not fully tested with BBpress. However we assume that the core migration functionalities are there. For example, when a user is moved from one site to another, user IDs in users db table are adjusted as well. This includes the post authors ID in the post db table as well as user taxonomy (if applicable). But that’s it.
BBpress could be storing user IDs in other fields or custom post metas that were not adjusted during the migration. So that’s the reason why some data could be mixed up. BBpress is included in our todo list of plugin compatibility testing and soon will be tested.
If you are willing, can you please provide us the WPRIME package that you need to import? Please use our official bug support channel by logging in to WordPress admin -> Prime Mover -> Contact Us. Then provide us the link to download the WPRIME package for analysis.
Then please add some details of the expected results of the migration so we can compare and check the data what needs to be auto-adjusted when migrating a BBpress site.
Then we can close here and continue the discussion in our bug support channel. Hopefully the fix and adjustment can be added in coming releases. Thanks! 🙂
    Have a nice day! Cheers.

Hi, thanks for using Prime Mover plugin! I see that you want to clone an existing subsite to a new subsite on the same multisite. This is possible but you need the new subsite to use a newly creaed blog ID. For example:

    1. Say an existing subsite with ID 3 that you want to clone to a new subsite.
    2. First, you create a new blank subsite with Network Admin -> Sites -> All Sites-> Add New.
    3. Take note of the blog ID of the newly created subsite. This is your target blog ID. You can read this tutorial on how to get the target blog ID of the new subsite.
    4. Once you know the target blog ID, click the Export button of the source subsite (blog ID: 3 in this case). Select first the export option (e.g. complete package). And then select Export multisite format.
    5. In the target blog ID field, enter the blog ID of the newly created subsite which you have created in the previous steps.
    6. Click Export Now
    7. Once the export package is created, restore it to the newly created subsite. There should no mismatch errors since the blog ID is matched.
    8. Done, the result is that newly created blog is the clone of the subsite blog ID 3 (in this case example).

That’s it. This should work. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! 🙂

Thank you for the confirmation and sorry that you have issues receiving replies. Usually when you send a bug report to us via the Prime Mover -> Contact Us form. The reply will be sent to the email that you have provided in the form. The reply is coming from codexonics.com domain. If you have not received it, maybe it is on the spam inbox or it get’s blocked.

Our reply contains some sensive info so we cannot post it here. Basically in order us to resolve this issue, the following will be most helpful:

    • A link to download the package, so we can analyze why it’s not detected on the package listing and why it cannot be restored. We need to debug this package for issues.
    • The name of the hosting company where your multisite site is hosted – we need to check if the hosting is compatible with Prime Mover.
    • Plugins/Themes used – you can use Tools -> Site Health -> Info -> Copy site info to clipboard – we need to check if there incompatible plugins/themes/ or issues with PHP settings ,etc.

Please send us the requested info above by submitting another bug report via Prime Mover -> Contact Us (if you have not received our original reply). Or you can also send this info via our live chat support available in the developer website https://codexonics.com/. Thank you again and have a great day!

We tried to reproduce this issue by exporting a large site (~around 6 GB) in a multisite subsite to a single site. But the package is listed on the package list page after export. And then, we are able to restore this package to a single site without any problems.

To help us resolve this one, please check our reply to the bug report you’ve sent to us via Prime Mover -> Contact Us. We need to know about the package created, site hosting, PHP configuration, plugins/themes used, etc.

If you don’t need any further assistance from us, please mark this ticket as resolved. Thanks. 🙂

Yes, in the multisite, you need to login as network admin and then go to Prime Mover -> Packages. In this packages listing page, you should see a dropdown named: Select or Enter a blog ID. Enter your blog ID first, and then it will auto-load the packages listed for that subsite.

This is a bit strange. Usually, once you see the export success dialog, the export process is completed so the package should be created successfully which you can download. The package should also be listed on the subsite package list page (by enter the correct blog ID).

So you should be able to restore this to your single site with no issues. If after upgrading to Prime Mover 1.2.4 and you still have this issue, please send us the package link (by going to Prime Mover -> Contact Us) so we can download and diagnose it for issues. Thanks again.

    Hi MrJive,
Thanks for reporting an issue. I am assuming you are trying to export a multisite subsite to a single site format.
Usually after package is created on a multisite, it will get listed on Network Admin -> Prime Mover -> Packages. Did you see this package listed there? If not, the package is corrupted and this cannot be restored. In this case, please create another package until it’s successfully created. You should see it being listed on the packages list. Take note of the correct filename so you will know right one.
If the package is listed on the multisite(so it appears not corrupted), and you want to migrate to a single site environment, please follow these steps. It’s because you are restoring a large package (~2GB) and using browser upload is usually not the best option.
Once you have successfully uploaded your package to your single site server (either using FTP/SFTP or your cPanel); refresh again the package list on the target single site server. You should be able to see the uploaded package listed on the target single site server also (Prime Mover -> Packages). If not, either the uploading is not completed( got corrupted) or something is corrupting the package and is not detecting the package.
In this case, we would suggest to contact us so you can help us provide this package for troubleshooting/diagnostic purposes.
Prime Mover 1.2.4 is the latest version just released today, please use this version in your confirmatory tests. Let me know if the suggestion resolves your issue.
Thanks and have a good day as well 🙂

As an update, this feature is now officially included in the next version of Prime Mover plugin. This is scheduled to be released as early as next week.

Closing here. Just in case you have another inquiry, please feel free to open new ticket. Thanks!

    Hello Hermie,
Yes, currently exporting the main page or main site is not yet supported with Prime Mover. This is the FAQ section that list this limitation.
We are currently working on this and will be added on it’s future release.
Regarding your other questions, I’m not quite sure if it can be done with Prime Mover alone since the main site export/restore is not yet supported. Please let me know if you still have additional questions 🙂
