on the dashboard it now says ‘Your site is running an outdated version of PHP that is no longer supported and may cause issues with WPForms. Read more for additional information.

Please Note: After April 2018, WPForms will be deactivated if not further action is taken.’

looks like i’ll have to contact my host provider

i took a backup just before updating, so i replaced the file and it’s working again

hmmm, most of the emails from the contact page are going into the spam folder, any way to stop that?

where are they sent through, WP?

ok, i ****ed up and have just started from scratch again.

i now just need to get my site URL to http://www.blueguitar.info
having said that, i could maybe just leave it the way it is

does the www really matter that much these days?

ah, i can’t get into my admin area now.

i’ve been working with the www folder, but yes that seems to be exactly the same as the public_html folder. WP is in there in a directory called blueguitarV2.

would you be willing to take a look in there for me (i can email you the details or if you want my email its [email protected] ). i’ve been fumbling around and i’m maybe just making things worse. maybe you could fix it in a few clicks :p and i’ll buy you a pint. sorry, i realise your’e probably busy too so..

if not i may need to delete the files and paste some i backed up a few weeks ago.

i’m not even sure what the WP backend is :/
is there something i can do to check?

i got it moved with a combination of your instructions and the codex instructions
lots of messing then it just seemed to work. but i had a feeling something wasn’t quite right (i can’t see the WP ‘edit bar’ at top of site anymore either (it is on))

oh and: how do i get link of my search results to say something meaningful

i want to replace the ‘Blue Guitar / Telecaster Fender / How Rich at Blue Guitar.info’

i get when you type into google http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&q=www.blueguitar.info&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=

not sure how that got there, it’s jibberish

i’m almost ready to transfer to my new WP site, currently here: http://blueguit.tsohost.co.uk/blueguitarV2 with your guidance above 😉

had another question. what about my old website http://www.blueguitar.info do i need to deactivate that?

or do i just move all the files for it out of the www folder? (its an old site built with dreamweaver). or will changing the URL for my WP to http://www.blueguitar.info overwrite the old site?

hi; i got 2. the RSS feed removed

but can’t see that code for the categories in the header.php

there is this:

one thing that is annoying, my domain expired for a few days before i got it back. the site went down naturally.
i repaid but now when you search for blueguitar you get some nonsense description; it used to say mark kozelek guitar archive etc;
