Hi @otrebor95,
Thanks for sharing. I’m sorry for the trouble here.
MonsterInsights can be deactivated and deleted like any other WordPress plugin. To do this please go to your Plugins page while logged into your WordPress site and look for the name Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights. Deactivating and deleting this will remove MonsterInsights from your WordPress site.
Here’s a general uninstall plugin guide in case it helps: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-properly-uninstall-a-wordpress-plugin/
If it’s not in your plugin list, then it’s possible you may need to use cPanel File Manager or SFTP (e.g., FileZilla) to remove the folder google-analytics-for-wordpress.
If the above suggestions do not work, you may need to ask your hosting provider to help you delete the plugin.
As for that critical error message, would you be able to reach out to us at https://www.monsterinsights.com/get-help/ so we can take a look at things directly to resolve it?
Thank you!

Hi @pixelshrink,
Thank you for sharing the URLs.
I was able to take a look and see that your main site and blog site are using two different cookie solutions. I think this might be why the main site is tracking data, but the blog site isn’t (if I’m understanding this correctly).
Here’s what I’m seeing:
- Your main site’s cookie plugin unblocks tracking once clicking Accept All https://a.supportally.com/i/8FINKW
- The blog site’s cookie plugin requires an extra click to opt into the Analytics under the Cookie Settings https://a.supportally.com/i/vt2Cq7
By default, these plugins prevent tracking from happening until a site visitor consents. What is most likely happening, at least for the blog site, is your site visitors are just clicking on accept without specifically opting into Analytics tracking, or ignoring the consent banner altogether and therefore no tracking happens during their visit.
Out of curiosity, would you be able to try a different cookie plugin for the blog site, to help confirm the above or rule it out as a cause? Let me know how things go.
Thanks so much!
Hi @uycarl,
Just sharing an update that our team is planning to ship a fix for this in our next major release. I don’t have an exact date yet, but it’s being worked on. Once a new release is out, please update MonsterInsights to the latest version.
Thank you!
Hi @alokchetaru,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the delay!
Our developers are aware of this notice appearing and they’ve confirmed with me just now that we’re planning to ship a fix for this in our next major release. I’m not able to say exactly when this next release is, but once it’s out, please update MonsterInsights to the latest version.
I hope this helps, but let me know if you have further questions.
Thank you!
Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for waiting.
I’m happy to report we’ve recently released a new version of MonsterInsights which includes a fix for this particular issue. Please update MonsterInsights to the latest version for the fix to apply.
So sorry again about the extended wait on this, but our team truly appreciates your patience and understanding.
Thank you!
Hi @pixelshrink,
I’m so sorry for the delay here!
Once MonsterInsights is connected and authenticated, tracking should begin immediately. To start seeing data in reports, it can take up to 24 hours for the tracked data to be processed within Google Analytics. If you’re still encountering tracking issues, I’m happy to help take a closer look at your websites for you, if you don’t mind sharing the URLs. If there is no data collection happening, there could be something preventing tracking from working as expected.
Thank you!

Hi @philip-cullen,
I’m sorry for the trouble. The review notification is set to appear 14 days after the date UserFeedback was initially installed. Though, we understand not everyone is ready to share a review and so the notice can be dismissed using the Nope, maybe later option.
That being said, we’re sorry about the frequency of the review notice, and are truly grateful for your feedback.
Thank you.
Hi @christifa2,
We appreciate your review! Our team is happy to know you’ve had such a positive experience with UserFeedback. We hope you continue to enjoy using the plugin.
Thank you 🙂
