You did a great job finding this trigger. To troubleshoot further, I recommend creating a clone of the site within the same Multisite setup, then deactivating all other plugins (except WooCommerce and WooPayments) and switching to a default theme. This will help us test the issue more effectively from our end.

I also noticed that this error is appearing at the bottom right of the Checkout page. Could you share the System Status Report of your staging site? You can paste it into https://pastebin.com and share the link here.

I understand youโre unable to create a staging site at the moment.
I checked the other site you shared and noticed it has shipping restrictions limited to the UK and Ireland. Thatโs why I received an “invalid shipping address” error when trying Google Pay. This issue appears to be different from the one on your site.
Please let me know once creating a staging site is possible so we can continue troubleshooting.

I also checked the GeneratePress forum and found that your theme contains an outdated WooCommerce template. GeneratePress confirmed that these files arenโt part of their theme. Do you know how they were added to your theme?

Could you please share the exact API query you’re using? I’d like to test it on my end for comparison and performance insights.
In my previous test, a bulk update on 30 orders took around 100 seconds. Could you try running the same update on the same set of products again? That would help narrow down the performance difference.
Also, which third-party plugins are currently active? Do any of them modify or interact with WooCommerce?
