In reply to: [WooCommerce] Order note in admin email notification is “protected”Hey there,
Thanks for sharing that screenshot!
I haven’t ever seen this behavior before. I checked into the WooCommerce code, but this string doesn’t show up:
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/search?q=there+is+no+excerpt+because+this+is+a+protected+postThis kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin, but you mentioned that you’ve already disabled most plugins. Because this string doesn’t show up in WooCommerce’s code, it must be coming from another plugin. If certain plugins are required on your live site, then I’d recommend testing on a staging site.
Here’s the best way to test:
- Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
- Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
- Repeat the action that is causing the problem
If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.`
I hope that helps you in the right direction!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Reverse Shop page layoutHey there,
There is indeed no default setting – but you found a way to do it in the code.
Note that the next time you update the WooCommerce plugin, this file will be overwritten. You’ll want to look into template overrides to make sure that the file stays intact:

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocomerce PluginHey there,
You’ve reached the ww.wp.xz.cn forums, which are primarily staffed by volunteers. You can take a look at the forum guidelines here:
We can offer suggestions and basic support. If you need more hands-on support, then your best bet is likely contacting a developer to help you further. I highly recommend contacting one of the services on our customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/
It sounds like when you enabled WooCommerce, you went through the wizard and some front-end changes were made. Have you already double checked that the correct theme is set via Appearance > Themes?
Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Plugin for weekly order cutoff day & hourHey there!
I did some searching but was only able to come up with plugins that show a shipping cutoff (i.e. order within the next x minutes to have your order shipped today) type plugins: https://www.google.com/search?q=woocommerce+order+cut+off+time
I don’t think a plugin for this has been developed yet. In that case, you’ll likely want to work with a developer to build exactly what you need. I highly recommend contacting one of the services on our customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/
I hope that helps you in the right direction!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to access website code files?Hey there!
To translate text, you don’t actually want to edit the files at all – the changes will be overwritten the next time you update the plugin.
The best way to change that text is to use the Loco Translate https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/loco-translate/
You’ll be able to select the plugin you’d like to translate (WooCommerce), and then choose the language to edit, then find the specific string. From there, you can change the “translation” of that string. Here’s some more info to help you get started:

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Capture CVV and AVS codeHey there!
This is a fairly complex development topic. I’m going to leave it open for a bit to see if anyone is able to chime in to help you out.
I can also recommend the WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal for resources on developing for WooCommerce.
You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the
#developerschannel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, as well.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Sales date incorrectHey there!
I checked this on my test site: by default, the sale start and end dates are blank:
Link to image: https://d.pr/i/CLOks8What does this look like on your end? It would be great to see a screenshot, similar to the one that I shared above.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Hide Download tab from My account pageHey there!
The best way to hide the download link is to use a small code snippet. There’s an example here – scroll down, as it’s not the accepted answer:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/39287308/woocommerce-remove-downloads-from-menu-in-my-account-page/39287489If you’d like to add code snippets to your site, I can recommend the Code Snippets plugin:

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Order note in admin email notification is “protected”Hey there,
It sounds like there might be something interesting happening with user roles and/or product permissions on your site.
I’d start by checking the settings of the products in the order. For example, here’s what I’d expect it to look like:
Link to image: https://d.pr/i/XbpsyYIf they look different on your site, change them and try to make a test order – then see if the note shows up in the email.
If that doesn’t work, could you please share a screenshot of one of the orders? Please do make sure to hide any personal information from the customer such as name, address, etc.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Image folderHmm – can you tell me more what about what you’d like to accomplish? For example, are you trying to build a slide show of product images for a specific product?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shipping not calculating correctlyHey there,
So from your message and the three items in the cart, I’d expect the total shipping to be $5 + $60 + 15 = $80, rather than $180. It looks like the item 2 cost might be applying here, as 180/3=60.
Thanks for doing a conflict test – you never know what that will shake loose. This sounds more likely to be a configuration problem.
I tested this on my own site:
* 3 shipping classes, $5, $15, $60: https://d.pr/i/3l6ait
* One shipping zone, one flat rate method, no default shipping rate set, price set for each shipping class: https://d.pr/i/p0nc47
* Assign shipping classes to products
* Add products to cart and shipping total is $80: https://d.pr/i/lKlHbFThe important part here are the settings in the flat rate method – can you confirm that it has exactly the same settings as in my screenshot?
