    Hey there,

I’m not a developer, but I can confirm that you’d definitely need to write a plugin for this, or at least a custom snippet. You don’t want to overwrite the core WooCommerce files, as your changes will be lost when you update the plugin.

If you need help with the coding work, I highly recommend contacting one of the services on our customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

    Hey there,

I’m glad you were able to fix the initial problem!

I now have to get the visual editor back. Help request for another time unless you have any ideas.

This probably isn’t related to the Woo plugin, but WordPress itself, but I’d like to try and help you in the right direction. Are you missing the visual editor on products, or on regular posts and pages? And were you using the blocks editor, or a rich text visual editor? Finally, was that a page builder such as Elementor or WP Bakery?

    Hey there,

It sounds like you’d like to show product variations on the product loop so that products can be added directly to the cart, like this:

    Example site

There a bunch of plugins that can help you with this. I don’t have a specific recommendation, so here’s a good search query:

I hope that helps you in the right direction!

    Hey there,

I understand you’re asking about our Shipping and Tax plugin, which can automatically calculate taxes. You’ve found the core WooCommerce forum, which can only be used to support the core Woo plugin, per forum guidelines. Could you please reask this question over at the Shipping and Tax forum?
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/woocommerce-services/

You’ve already included everything we’d need to know to troubleshoot – thank you for that!

    Hey there,

There are a few different ways you could tackle this, so I’m going to ask a few more questions to makes sure I’m making helpful suggestions.

How should this work for customers – for example, do they visit the site, select a location, and then want to see retailers for their area? Or are they visiting the site, select a product, and then should select the retailer that’s closest to their location?

    Thanks!

    Hey there,

It’s not so much a question of official support from the PayFast team. When developers update the plugin, they’ll update the WooCommerce support version. We do test, but don’t always roll out a new version of the plugin just to update the testing status. In cases like this, it’s a good practice to ask, just as you’ve done here. 🙂

I can confirm that PayFast is working correctly with WooCommerce 5.0.

    Hey there,

It sounds like you’re working with the Printful plugin:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/printful-shipping-for-woocommerce/

This forum is specific to core WooCommrece, so any tips that I can share may actually be incorrect, as they’re overridden by the Printful plugin. Your best option would be to check with the developers of the plugin.

is there a way to say to woocommerce : don’t change image when someone choose a variation, display only the general image

I don’t know of a plugin or code snippet that could do this for you, though I would think the code wouldn’t be too complex. If you need help writing the code, I highly recommend contacting one of the services on our customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

I hope that helps you in the right direction!

    Hey there,

It sounds like you’re referring to the order confirmation page. It does indeed have the page title “checkout”. Here’s what it looks like on my test site:

    Checkout - Order confirmation
    Link to image: https://d.pr/i/9FbDAD

It has the same page title because it’s actually the same checkout page – it’s just using a different end point to show different data. You won’t be able to change the title without changing the title for the checkout page.

With that said, you could redirect the checkout order confirmation to a different page – that would let you have a different page title. There are a bunch of plugins that can help you out. Here’s a good list:

    Hey there,

is it possible to add 0 items to the cart? I have a client who’d like the customer to be able to add products to the cart despite setting the quantity to 0. It almost serves as a whishlist but with no extra step.

    Interesting approach!

You could probably do this with custom code – I don’t know how complex it would be, so for example how the checkout process would handle products with a quantity of 0.

I’d recommend working with a proper wishlist plugin that’s set up to handle this kind of scenario. Here’s the one that I recommend:

I hope that helps you in the right direction!

This plugin just looks at the order total and doesn’t consider taxes, as those can fluctuate at checkout based on the customer’s location. You could add this to the plugin, but it would require writing custom code. My goal is to keep the plugin as simple as possible.

    Hey there,

WooCommerce itself is free and always will be. If you bought it from someone, that’s strange – but you may be able to ask them for support. Otherwise, you can work with the public forum (that’s right here) or work with a developer. It may also be that WooCommerce isn’t the right platform for your needs as it’s meant to be customizable but that does require knowledge and possibly support from a developer.

Thanks for sharing that system status log. I see you’re running the theme Neve, which isn’t a standard Woo theme. In that case, I’d expect things to mostly look as they should on your site. I was wondering if you were using a different theme that had thrown things off.

At this point, I don’t know what changed and therefore how to revert it. WordPress doesn’t offer logging by default, so there isn’t an easy way to know what happened. If you have a backup, this would be a good time to apply it, as that’ll let you return your site to the state before you made changes.

Beyond that, your system status looks good. There’s one small issue that the default pages aren’t set – you can fix those as follows:

Thanks for clarifying! So you want to add this text to the cart dropdown window.

It’ll depend on how that window is being generated. If it’s in your theme, then check with the theme developer. If it’s a plugin, you’ll want to check how that plugin handles it.

I realize that’s vague, but without knowing how it’s set up on your site, it’s hard to offer more concrete tips. I’m also not a developer myself.

    Hey there!

I’m glad you tracked it down! You’ll want to reach out to your theme’s developer for help on updating the theme to work with the order notes.

    Hey there,

Good point – the concept is the same idea for themes. I’d recommend using a child theme, otherwise your changes will be wiped out when you update the theme.

    Hey there,

    Thanks for sharing that screenshot!

The spinner problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. It may also be related to the default sales date, though it’s not as likely.

The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.`
