Hi @jamminjames,
Thanks for asking us. We don’t recommend deleting these, as NextGen Gallery stores its settings there, and it’d be easy to delete something that’s necessary.
We’ll check with the devs to see if they perhaps have any other suggestions.
Hi @tizz,
Thanks for asking us. We are aware of these deprecate notices and this is one of the reasons why we look forward to completely exclude Pope framework from NextGen Gallery really soon (this was a huge project for us, but the good news is that we are now close to a release). It should also bring performance improvements for every NextGen Gallery user.
Hi @kimdre,
Our dev team is aware of these problems occurring on Bitnami, and we look forward to seeing how the path retrieving method can be rethought, so it’d properly work regardless of the server’s folder structure.
As a possible workaround, you can either use the redirect (as you already did) or try to add this constant to your wp-config.php to specify the plugins’ folder path (changing
yoursitedomainhere.deto your actual domain):define('WP_PLUGIN_DIR', 'https://yoursitedomainhere.de/wp-content/plugins/');Hi Denise,
We are sorry to hear of the problems experienced with Pro Blog since the latest NextGen Gallery update. Due to the forum rules, we are not allowed to offer premium support here in the forum, so we hope that you wouldn’t mind contacting us at https://members.photocrati.com/contact-us/ or https://www.imagely.com/contact/
Thanks
Hi @jeremydunn,
Thanks for your report. We have escalated it to our dev team’s review. We’ll keep you updated in case of any news.
Hi @sisintl,
We are sorry, this is a valid bug to our knowledge, and we have escalated it to our developers. While the display=”thumbnails” is an existing display type – this is a reference to the premium one, so we’ll have to change it to display=”basic_thumbnail” instead when a gallery page is automatically created for NextGen Gallery users.
At this moment, as a workaround, we suggest you to correct the display type manually once the gallery page is added.
Hi @divous,
As long as we are aware, the Singlepic shortcode should continue to work just fine with the latest version NGG 3.39.
We also tested the second legacy album shortcode and the lightbox correctly appears in our case. Please feel free to contact our support team at https://www.imagely.com/report-bug/ and one of our support representatives will be happy to help you.
P.S. We suggest you to insert galleries and albums using the “NextGen Gallery” block from the page’s editor instead. You will need to continue to use the Singlepic shortcode though because it cannot be added using “NextGen Gallery” block. If you are interested of the shortcode structure, you can edit the inserted “NextGen Gallery” block as HTML. You should see a simplified shortcode structure like the one from below:
[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”2000000000″ display=”basic_thumbnail”]
Hi @wolkenunddreck,
Sorry to hear of that. Feel free to submit a report using this form https://www.imagely.com/report-bug/ and one of our support representatives will be happy to continue the troubleshooting from there.
Hi @jojojona,
Could you please let us know how do you store the alt text? NextGen Gallery would try to import it from “EXIF and IPTC” title image meta if such exists and would populate it out of the image’s title if the title meta isn’t present.
Please let us know what stands for the image’s Alt/Title if you visit the gallery from “Manage Galleries” and check its captions field?
Are all of the uploaded images present there? Sometimes, it is just a caching matter that prevents the site from displaying new media on the pages.Worth noting that none of NextGen Gallery ( lite version ) lightboxes are able to display image’s Alt/Title but they should be able to display the description captions. Descriptions are populating from the caption “EXIF and IPTC” metadata.
Hi @thoms005,
Thanks for asking us. Checking the page’s source it appears that you are using a third party Simple Lightbox plugin instead of the one that come’s from NextGen Gallery.
Could you please try to deactivate that plugin then make sure you have selected Simple Lightbox from “NextGen Gallery -> Other Options -> Lightbox Effects -> What lightbox would you like to use?” and check again to see if NGG”s lightbox will only display the images from a single gallery block at a time?
Hi @and1rzej,
Thanks for asking. Our dev team made it the biggest priority and we look forward to have it fixed very soon. You can expect a new NGG version to be released on this week or at the beginning of the following one.
Hi @denis24,
We are sorry to hear of the problem. We had similar reports in the past and these are usually related with a plugin or theme conflicting with NextGen Gallery.
Feel free to submit an issue report at https://www.imagely.com/report-bug/ and one of our support representatives will be happy to help.
Hi @and1rzej,
We are sorry for the inconvenience created. Most likely this is related with the changes from the latest NextGen Gallery update. Our developers will look into replicating it on our own IIS instances.
As a temporary workaround, please revert to NextGen Gallery 3.37 that can be downloaded from: https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/nextgen-gallery.3.37.zip
Thanks for your understanding
Hi @barbsm2,
Thanks for asking us. Unfortunately, there’s no such a possibility to directly link to a gallery or album without adding them to a page first.
