In reply to: WP 4.9.4 strange problemWell, there you go. Perfect example of the problem I asked about. Whatever I do “logged in” only sticks as long as I am logged into WP. Once I log out and then open my website, all changes are gone.
I disabled the music player, yet logged out, it continues to play. So any changes I make anywhere on my website do not stick.
EDIT: I just figured it out. WP SUper Cache plugin was the culprit. I deleted all cache files and now it is working correctly.

In reply to: WP 4.9.4 strange problemThank you for trying. Just so you know, the music is background and the volume is set very low (5 of 100).
I never experienced a high volume as you describe.Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: SQL trouble after 4.1.1 upgradeNo. They were all deactivated in the first place. Only way to activate them is still using the Bulk button. At least that is working.

In reply to: SQL trouble after 4.1.1 upgradeAny plugin would not activate. I also get this error everytime I do a plugin update. However the plugin went ahead and updated.
Something is just wrong with my SQL. But now with the latest WP update to 4.4.1 it is now much worse.
I also have my hosting server trying to troubleshoot the problem, but as yet they haven’t found anything.

In reply to: SQL trouble after 4.1.1 upgradeI get the error
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘TYPE=MyISAM’ at line 9 on line: 1471if I try to activate the plugin using the Activate button. However I managed to “Bulk” activate them ok.

In reply to: New posts not listed! It’s not set to private. However I messed around with some WP Supercache settings and now it seems to be working correctly. (Even though my other posts were fine and I did not change cache settins before)
Anyway, it now is showing up.
As for the WP upgrade, that was my next project after this fix. I always wait a few months before I do a WP upgrade. I used to do it quickly until several versions ago completely trashed my website. I wait to hear of probs before I jump at it.
Thanks for the feedback.

In reply to: [Register Plus Redux] [Plugin: Register Plus Redux] languagesI just want to change the register form labels from say “*Username” to display “Username/功夫额黑胶绸“ so my Chinese members can read what they need to input in each field when they register.
Is this something a “non coder” can do? Must I rewrite a CSS form to do this? Please help!

In reply to: Why do I have 2 Home menu lists???Thank you esmi for the info. But can you explain to me how to change back to NOT using a static page. When I do this, I still have the Home menu twice. I would like to remove this. I tried updating permalinks, but nothing made it disappear.
