An HTTP 422 response indicates a validation failure on the API side. This is typically triggered by one of the following:

• VALIDATION_ERROR – Missing or invalid request parameters
• UPLOAD_FAILED – The file could not be processed after upload
• UNSUPPORTED_MIME_TYPE – The detected MIME type is not supported (must be JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF)

We recently changed our optimisation APIs and are now using more modern tools and APIs but it should not cause any issues with PNG file validation as there have been no recent changes to PNG validation requirements. Since these images were previously optimized successfully, the issue may be related to MIME detection, file headers, or server-side upload handling.

Please verify that the affected files are correctly detected as image/png on the server and check for any PHP, firewall, or mod_security rules that might interfere with the upload request.

If possible, share one affected PNG file so we can test it directly.
