It’s a completely custom theme so I’m not sure what might be the problem.

Yes I got it working! Thank you.
I do find it a bit inconvenient that if I put the entire order status on “Payed back ” the products/taxes will disappear from the invoice again. It’s a mistake my client might easily make.
