In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] It – just – doesn’t – work.Hi @mrfresch,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
It looks like you’re using Master passwords to unlock your protected pages, aren’t you?
Actually, with PPWP Lite/Free, Master passwords can unlock Posts only.
In case of Pages, you should create passwords under Edit page’s screen instead or upgrade to PPWP Pro.
Anyway, do you mind sharing with us what you want to achieve with our plugins, e.g. your use case, in more detail?
You might also want to go to our live chat or drop us an email to hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that our team can support you faster.

In reply to: [PPWP - Password Protect Pages] Limit attempts to accessHi @sibbo100,
Thanks for reaching out to us last Friday night.
Yes, it’s possible to limit how many times a user can attempt to enter a password with our PPWP Pro plugin.
The plugin comes with a password management popup where you can:
- Restrict passwords by time or usage
- View the number of times a password was used
- Deactivate/activate or delete any passwords that you want
Here is a sample protected page: https://passwordprotectwp.com/demo/protect-pdf-files-from-downloads/
You can enter “sibbo100” as a password twice to unlock the content.
Is it what you’re looking for?
It’s best if you could share with us more about your use case so that we can advise you better.
You might also want to drop us an email to hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com for faster assistance from our team.

Thanks for reaching out to us.
Don’t worry. We’ve always got your back.
We can access your pages without having to enter any passwords (see our attached screenshot). So it’s indeed a caching issue.
Could you please help to clear caches (both site & server level) and see if it helps to resolve the issue?
You might also want to drop us an email at hello(at)preventdirectaccess with the following information so that we can give you more detailed advice:
-
   Â
- Caching plugins or server cache you’re using
- The hosting provider you’re using
   Â
We look forward to hearing from you.
Hi @agbrand,
Thanks for reaching out to us last night.
Yes, it’s possible to get statistics on password usage with our PPWP plugins.
For example, you will be able to know which passwords were used, from which browsers, at which time, and possibly the IP address of the users.
To assist you better, may we know which kind of content you want to protect, e.g. the entire page, some content sections, or the entire site?
You might want to drop us an email to hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that our team can support you faster.
