Thanks for explaining your opinion, however, it’s not like you wrote.
In the latest version of this free plugin we use the public Google Places API in a slightly different way, which allows to get more than 5 reviews immediately when you connect, usually 7-10 reviews.
Also, to connect these reviews you do not need your own API and for each connected business there’s Reconnect button which you can use manually to update the reviews.
In the Youtube video below we demonstrate everything we wrote about, namely:
- To use the plugin and show 10 reviews (but for some places it can be 7 or 9) you do not need to create own Google Places API key;
- The plugin has a refresh button which you can use manually every time;
- In this plugin you can connect and show 10 reviews less then a minute, sorry, but from our point of view it’s most extremely simple way to show Google reviews on your WordPress wesbite.

The plugin displays the reviews only on the specific language, so you can change it to Deutsche or any other language which you need. There’s no option to show it on the original language.

The reviews are not updated because your Google API key restricted (IP or referrer). Please select ‘None’ in the restriction settings for your API key in Google Console and let us know for the further check.
