In reply to: gutenberg updating failedi’m in php v7.0 with half my plugins turned off. i can edit and save a post in quick-edit mode and save, ie., categories, tags via all posts. on in post edit itself nothing is saved/updated.
i published what i saved and permalink looks normal – otto

In reply to: gutenberg updating failedhi otto,
looked around re resaving permalinks but nothing of substance. can you flush out a bit further, it would be appreciated.that said, i’m running php 5.6. and maybe that’s the problem.
however when i went to php v7.1 site crashed and error log suggests plugins though the respective plug developers stand by their latest. so testing that.
do we know if wp 4.9.8 can handle php v7 because that seems to be one mission here, get the site to handle php upgrade

In reply to: User profile photo / imageso, we use the fanciest author box plugin for a custom user profile image, user profile bio and link to all author posts
and we add another plugin, maybe the avatar manager, to replace the default grey head shot with a custom image.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: User profile photo / imagei’m using fanciest author box. i will ask them. on another note…
please forget plugins. how do i add an image / gravatar to a user profile? are we saying in wp we can’t add an image without a plugin except via gravatar.org ?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: User profile photo / imagewell, this plugin works nicely in the post, it adds the bio complete with links.
a relevant question. there is also a tab that will pull all of the author posts, a simple wp category search. but, instead of the custom photo shown in the post, it’s the gray profile avatar in the users profile. i don’t see any provision to place a photo in the user / author.

In reply to: User profile photo / imagethe wp user avatar support forum sounds abysmal. the others look pretty good, thank you for the suggestions.
i’m looking for a key word ‘responsive’ once it was mentioned in my research. i’m going to try what my theme developer suggests = http://codecanyon.net/item/fanciest-author-box/2504522?s_rank=1

In reply to: Cookies not enabled problem on 1 of 8 sitesmy structure looks like this… both of the new sites are subdomains within my main site. both new subdomains share the same config.php with a new common wp download. i configured everything within wp admin and not manually, except for the config.php we’re talking about. it would seem both should have equal login permissions, etc. i started a new thread. i’ll wait and see if there are other suggestions. ty for follow up and good to hear you are all set to go.

In reply to: Cookies not enabled problem on 1 of 8 sitesi’m having same issue when i log in. though, i have a question leading up to this. i’ve created two new sites. when in my sites i can see both in admin panel. the first site is the primary site. i can visit and enter dashboard on the first site. i can visit but cannot enter dashboard on the second site. i get the ‘wp login’ page instead. when i try to log in i get the error message stated in this thread. note: i tried to identify what halmoh was seeing but i don’t see any ‘settings’ links anywhere. should i create a new thread?
