What do you mean.. are u trying to say that if I dont have enough memory that’s the reason why the j pegs dont stay loaded.. and if I did have enough memory its probably a problem with in the plugins..
The memory allocated is about the same as any other personal blog hosted by any hosting service..
    whats the issue here.. ?

    Thread Starter thecoffeedude

    (@thecoffeedude)

No there are no error messages… when I click update it goes through its normal cycling then the j pegs disappear..

I recently have transferred my hosting to Blue Host Cloud… I dont know how much memory that entails .. but I do know its more than what I previously had with my older hosting service provider…. why do you ask?

Dont know if anyone read this yet and I dont know what browser your using.. but if your using Firefox..
    this may help
I decided to reset my Firefox browser.. they recently had an update as well.. I hate doing that because it removes all of the add-ons so you have to re-upload them.. this time I wrote them down so I wouldn’t forget which ones I had..

When I reset Firefox to default.. guess what.. my images re-appeared..
so for now I’m a bit relieved.. not happy about having to re-upload add-ons.. Oh well.. I wish Firefox would design their browser so that you can keep whatever add-on was there.. maybe they do and I just dont know it.. something else to explore!

    Update… I’m not going nuts…yaaaaaaaay!.. that was a close one..I think I solved my issue…
After beating myself up for about a 1/2 hour… and emailing my trusted contacts who also think I’m a fanatic…Heres how I solved my image problem with Firefox…

After checking my permissions which I understand need to be 775 that was all good..and still I was not able to view my images… huh!
but yet worked fine with IE.. how come that is I asked…

    Here goes nothing..
    Ever since the updates…
I currently use Firefox and according to them all is good with their latest update… then WP had an update..and according to them all is good there too…

Strangely when I view my site with IE the images do display except for my background image..
When in Firefox no images display..

    How promising..
However.. ever since these updates occurred..
My issue is no show images in the media library.. I have deactivated all plugins. cleared out my cache with CCleaner.. ran a quick scan malware antivirus.. all is clean and clear..

I have 76 images in my media library none of them display as they should.. they have also disappeared from my site pages and posts..
When I try to edit any image it does not display in the edit section as it once did..

    Am I going nuts?
    You be the judge!

Just had to add this… talk about weird symbols…

    feast your eyes on this..

    What first American city put police on bicycles? ……..     “  “  “       “         “   “     “          “      “

    then don’t

The post where these symbols came from is a year old was like that then… and this just started a few days ago…

I think I have gremlins in my router….
yes indeed Gremlins I say…ghosts..hackers, perhaps I live on Indian burial grounds… poltergeist! ..who knows…not my doing! that’s for sure..I’m only a gate keeper… but I will pray about this… anyone out there?

Your not a guy.. OK that’s great.. did I say otherwise! no harm intended.. we are all neutral here and that’s a good thing!

    I’ll keep that in mind!

    Thanks WPyogi

Unbelievable… It worked…I just did what you suggested..

Thanks so much …your the man!

In Firefox, go to Tools, Options, Content. In Fonts & Colors, go to Advanced. Check “allow pages to choose their own fonts….” That took care of it for me.

It took care of it for me too!…Amen!

I do hope someone can at least update the development team as to these strange occurrences and their future updates…
I guess in the world of digital creations anything can happen!

    Oh well.. thanks again…

    Thread Starter thecoffeedude

    (@thecoffeedude)

    I’ll try what you suggested!

I do realize many of you are volunteers and I do appreciate the help very much.. however the development team that puts these updates out, I my opinion, should exercise a little more quality control! ..that’s all
I have no idea how to contact the WP development team I figure you guys do!

    Thanks anyways

You gotta be kidding me! no way… takes me too freaking long to redo everything I’ll just work around it!// thanks for your help..anyways… I have a better suggestion!
Since the WP development team caused this issue to begin with….
Instead why dont the WP development theme come out with a new update to resolve this issue… why is the burden on us to fix!…
Like I said every time you guys come out with an update a new mystery always seems to unfold…
WordPress is filled with too many cooks cooking the soup ..
Appears like the Left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing!
I”m just a greenhouse builder for crying out loud! Give me a break!

I see I’m not the only one with WP 3.8 iconic issues..I read the threads and everyone there had a different solution..

I must honestly say this is a bunch of crap.. why dont you WP techie guys leave well enough alone.. I swear every time there’s a freaking update a new mystery unfolds… whats next? for Petes sake

    Thread Starter thecoffeedude

    (@thecoffeedude)

When you say clearing that cache… not sure what you mean….anyways..
I just deleted the delete cache clicked both buttons.. and nothing…

I have no idea what to look for.. honestly I dont understand WP Supper cache.. I have it there because everybody says its the thing to do..but I have no freaking idea what caching does..

Sorry I’m screwed..thanks to WordPress updates..

    (@thecoffeedude)

Ok .. let me do that… give me a moment..thank you
