Thanks so much for the quick response. I have tried this combination – setting the “insertion” dropdown to “disabled” and ticking the “RSS feed” box under the insertion tab, but nothing shows up on the website or in the feed that way. If this were to work (and maybe I’m doing something wrong), by setting insertion to disabled (as opposed to, say, “after image” or “after paragraph”), how would I control where precisely in the RSS feed the ad would appear?

I’m talking about what appears on my dashboard under the header “Search Engine Terms”. Google has been indexing my site for quite some time now, but these “searches” for individual post titles have only started appearing over the past few weeks. No human is typing all of these post titles into a search engine, so I’m just not sure why this apparent automated indexing is showing up as a “search term”.
