Hi,
Thanks for reaching out.
It’s possible that the issue is caused by an SMTP plugin interfering with the content of the email. Could you please try temporarily deactivating your SMTP plugin and then run a test backup to see if the issue persists?

BryleHi Guy,
To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the full backup log?
This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab. The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.Regards,

Thanks for following up!
The
updraft_jobdata_xxxxxxxxxentries are temporary options created by UpdraftPlus during backup or restore processes. They store job-related data and are usually removed automatically once the process completes. If they remain in your database, it may mean that a backup or restore job didn’t finish properly. If you’re sure no jobs are currently running, it’s generally safe to delete these entries — but we recommend taking a database backup first, just in case.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Backups Not CompletingHi @twocrumbsup
Can you ask your host to increase maximum_execution_timeout, memory limit and I/O limit.
Then run a test backup and hopefully that will help fix the issue.
Thanks,
BryleHi @pavo
Apologies for the delay. The pastbin link appears to have expired. Can you share new link please.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Backup non funzionanteHi @fravannu
Thanks for the update and log information.
The warning you’re seeing — “WordPress has a number (32) of scheduled tasks which are overdue” — typically means WordPress’s built-in scheduler (WP-Cron) isn’t running as expected. This can prevent backups and other scheduled tasks from working correctly. It’s not directly related to the UpdraftPlus plugin, but rather an issue with WordPress itself.
In many cases, this originates from hosting configuration problems.
We recommend contacting your hosting provider for assistance in resolving the scheduler issue. We also have a helpful guide here with common troubleshooting steps:

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Multitude of Files to downloadAt the moment, there isn’t an option to download all backup components as a single ZIP file directly. Each part (database, plugins, themes, uploads, etc.) is separated into individual files to keep things manageable, especially for large backups.
That said, this feature request is currently being discussed by our team to see if it would be feasible to implement in a future update.

The updraft_lock_xxxxxxxx entries are temporary database locks created by UpdraftPlus to prevent multiple backup processes from running at the same time. They are usually very small (like the 10 B entries you’re seeing) and are automatically removed after the backup or restore process completes.
If no backups or restores are currently running, it’s generally safe to delete these entries. However, they will be recreated the next time a backup is triggered.

BryleHi,
Yes, you can copy the contents of the restoration log and share it with us in here. Another recommended option is to use a service like https://pastebin.com then send us the link here.

BryleHi,
To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the restoration log only? You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your site via FTP.
You can send the log file and copy the contents into an online tool (such as http://pastebin.com/ )Kind Regards,

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Updraft backup hangsHi @maycreate
The error cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate typically means your server is missing a required CA (Certificate Authority) bundle.
Please contact your web host and ask them to update or reinstall the cURL CA certificates on your server. This should resolve the SSL issue and allow plugin updates to proceed.

BryleHi @amberianer
Thanks for the update.
We suggest signing up with a facility like UptimeRobot, Pingdom, or Easy Cron to get more automated visits to your website. This can help ensure scheduled tasks like backups are triggered consistently.
Best Regards,
Bryle
