Hello @admail
If you are experiencing an “SMTP Error: Could not authenticate” error while attempting to set up Gmail integration, it is important to understand that Gmail implements an additional layer of security for applications like this. You must generate an “App Password” from your Google Account to resolve this issue. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
1. Start by visiting your Google Account.
2. In the search bar, type “App Password.”
3. Look for the “App Passwords” section and click on it.
4. When prompted, provide a name for your app (you can choose any name you prefer).
5. Click the “Create” button to generate the App Password.
6. You will receive a unique App Password – making a note or copying it is crucial.
7. paste this App Password into the SMTP password field in the Bit SMTP settings.Thank you,

Hello @nakpro
To adjust the size of the iframe, you can utilize the newly added sizing and scroll bar options in the latest version(1.2.0) of Bit Assist. This feature allows you to easily increase or decrease the width and height of the iframe as needed to tailor it to your specific requirements. For detailed instructions on how to make these adjustments, please refer to our comprehensive documentation available at this link:
https://bitapps.pro/docs/bit-assist/all-channels/custom-iframe/To configure Bit Assist for different devices, you’ll need to set up two separate channels(iFrame) for desktop and mobile. Here’s how to achieve this:
For Desktop:
- Create a channel specifically for desktop users in Bit Assist.
- In the channel settings, navigate to the “Channel Show On” option.
- Here, you should disable the mobile option. This ensures that the channel will only be visible to desktop users.
- Customize the channel further based on your desktop-specific requirements.
For Mobile:
- Create a separate channel dedicated to mobile users in Bit Assist.
- In the channel settings, go to the “Channel Show On” option.
- Disable the desktop option. This ensures that the channel will only be displayed to mobile users.
- Customize the channel settings to optimize the experience for mobile visitors.
Following these steps, you can effectively tailor your Bit Assist channels to provide an optimized experience for desktop and mobile users. This ensures that each group sees the most relevant and user-friendly chat options based on their device.

Hello Sascha Leem
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I’ve already discussed it with the developer team, who confirmed that the Email option is not necessary for performing integrations. As a result, the Email option will be removed in the next update of Bit Form.
