Hi @leilag,
We have inspected your author page and it seems like it’s loading properly. Have you fixed the issue in the meantime?
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi Martijn,
If the pages are created in WordPress and have not been deindexed, then they will show up in the XML Sitemaps.
If you’d like them to get removed, please noindex these pages as in this guide.
Please let us know if you have any other questions or need any help.
Hi Emlily,
Unfortunately, we could not provide you with instructions on how to fix this issue, as it’s not related to Yoast SEO.
If your server is not able to load the image on the first visit, then this is what Twitter’s crawler gets when it visits your website. This is something which your hosting provider should investigate, crawlers will not refresh a page to load its content.
You may also contact your CDN provider and ask them if they’ve experienced something similar.
We hope to have cleared things up for you and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions.
Hi @iritst,
If you’re using WPML and still want to use Yoast SEO, then please note this bug is currently being fixed by the team at WPML.
The latest beta version of WPML also fixes this issue. You can find more information on how to get access to the WPML beta here.
Unfortunately, we can’t do anything else as this bug is not on our side.
Hi @mzidani,
Please send us a screenshot which shows the variables you have used, so that we can check if they are correct or not.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi @biblestudyradio,
Please let us know what version of Yoast SEO you are using. In addition, if you were to set the company logo at SEO → Search Appearance, would it save as expected?
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi @darkwindhunter1,
What exactly should the “Brand” link to? Unfortunately, it is not possible to add “Brands” as you have suggested. That is because the brand taxonomies do not have an archive which displays all brands (such as blog displays all posts, or shop displays all products).
We hope to have cleared things up for you and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions.
Hi @slimmyweight,
To update the image links in the sitemap to use the CDN, please refer to this guide (scroll down to “what is the image URL is wrong?).
We are looking forward to your reply.
Hi @lincoban,
Please update to Yoast SEO 9.1 (which has been released today) and let us know if the issue persists. If it does, please also include a screenshot of the readability analysis tab.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi Tim,
Unfortunately, if you use the breadcrumbs, it is very likely that Google will display them too. There’s nothing specific you can do about this.
Hi @ktj-mediadk,
Can you confirm that Yoast SEO 9.0.3 or 9.1 fixes the issue?
We are looking forward to your reply.
Hi @tonyzyc,
Thanks for following up. Unfortunately, we could not yet say for sure what might be causing this issue.
In order to better understand and try to replicate issue, please let us know what kind of page that is (Homepage set so show blog posts, category page, tag page, etc.).
In addition, if you were to temporarily switch to
%%pagenumber%%, does the issue persist? We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi @conquistadorjd,
Have you tried implementing the breadcrumbs as in this guide?
We believe you may have done it differently, which might explain why the content is visible to logged in users only. If you were to insert it using the shortcode
[wpseo_breadcrumb], is it still visible to logged in users only?We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi @glennyboy,
We’d recommend fetching the URL as Googlebot to make sure that Google is able to detect the same <title> tag. If it is the same to the one you’ve set using Yoast SEO, then there’s not much else you can do. Ultimately search engines will, as you have seen, make the final decision on what they show in their search results.
Hi Tim,
The URL is shown like that because of the Breadcrumbs structured data which Yoast SEO is adding.
If you want to disable the breadcrumbs, you can do so by going to SEO → Search Appearance → Breadcrumbs. Deactivating the breadcrumbs is likely to make Google show the full path URL in the search results (with your full date).
The snippet preview is not reflecting the breadcrumbs, an issue is currently open here.
