In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] wizard requires a wizardHi @duhblow7 ,
Fair point, and thanks for the honest feedback!
The wizard does ask a lot of questions, we know. But compliance isn’t exactly a one-size-fits-all topic, some users run simple blogs, others manage large platforms with complex legal requirements across multiple countries. The wizard tries to cover all of that, which can feel like a bit too much if your setup is straightforward.
However, your feedback is genuinely valued, we have noted it and are looking into further options to simplify the Wizard without sacrificing any possibilities.
Kind Regards,

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] remove this reviewThank you for reaching out, I am very sorry to hear about your disappointment.
Firstly, I find it highly improbable that our team refused temporary access to your WordPress backend, as providing support directly in the environment is one of our principal methods for diagnosing and resolving issues. I sincerely apologize if there was a miscommunication or an error on our part that gave you that impression.
We genuinely want to make this right and find a solution, however, we have no way to locate your previous ticket or correspondence based on this message alone. Could you please provide us with your original ticket number, the email address used for that support request or reply directly to the ticket?
Again, we are truly sorry about the negative experience you’ve had. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Roberto.Hi @gavin310
Thanks for reaching out!
The reason that Data Request Form appeared is that Complianz activates the form if you select that you are targeting visitors from specific States.
If you want to remove the form you need to go into your settings and disable that State targeting.
- Go to the Complianz Wizard > General > Visitors.
- Look for the question: “Do you specifically target visitors from these states?”
- If you see any US states (like California, Virginia, etc.) selected there, you must deselect all of them.
By removing the selection from all targeted US states, Complianz will deactivate the automatic generation of the Data Request Form, allowing you to rely only on the email or phone contacts that you prefer.
I hope this helps!
Kind Regards,
Roberto.Hi @focustc
I’m truly sorry to hear about your poor experience with both the plugin and our support services. That is absolutely not the standard we aim for.
If you are willing to give us one last chance to help, we would be grateful. Would you be able to share some specific details as to what went wrong? The issue at hand could potentially be caused by caching on your domain or a conflict with other plugins.
We usually respond to all support requests within one business day, and we’d be happy to investigate the issue you are facing to see if we can get things working correctly for you.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Banner display errorCiao @ricsca2
Saluti,

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Unable to activate or contact supportHi @luthermax
Thank you for confirming that you have submitted a new support ticket via our website just now.
I’ve just done a quick check on the current status of that website form, and I believe we are currently experiencing an issue with the form itself, preventing submitted tickets from reaching our system reliably. To ensure your request is received immediately and to guarantee the promised response time, could you please bypass the website form entirely and send your message using your regular email provider (like Gmail, Outlook, etc.) directly to our support email address?
This will ensure your ticket lands directly in our queue without relying on the website form.
I look forward to receiving your email so we can get this and I apologize again.
Kind Regards,
Roberto.- This reply was modified 7 months ago by robiub.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Unable to activate or contact supportHi @luthermax
Thank you for reaching out. I understand completely why you are dissatisfied, and I am truly sorry that you’ve had such a poor experience with our support team.We have checked our official support channels and cannot find any tickets associated with the licence issue you are experiencing.
If you sent your support requests directly through the form within the Complianz plugin, it is highly likely that your messages were never successfully transmitted to our support system. The support form in the plugin uses wp_mail to send the request straight to our support email. Development environments (such as staging sites, local setups, or specific hosts like intawp) do not always support email sending, and your messages likely failed to deliver silently.
To bypass this issue entirely and guarantee a response, please go to our official website’s support section and send us a new, dedicated ticket describing your license activation error.
We are committed to resolving this license issue immediately and will reply to your email within one business day.
Again, we sincerely apologize for the disappointment and the inconvenience it has caused to you. We look forward to resolving this immediately upon receiving your direct email.
I wish you a nice day.
Kind regards,

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Unwanted software installedHello @scoalegil
Thanks for your feedback.
I am sorry to hear about the trouble this situation has caused for you and your client. I want to personally apologize that your experience with our plugin has been impacted by the installation of the Really Simple Security plugin. We certainly never intend for any user to feel tricked or to have their site’s integrity compromised.
I want to clarify the process to ensure there is no misunderstanding about how that software is offered: we do advertise our sister company’s software within the Complianz dashboard and after enabling the Website Scan, but there is absolutely no trickery involved in the installation. The user needs to actively tick a box during the website scan process to give their consent for Really Simple Security to be installed. It is strictly an opt-in mechanism.
To be clear, we do not automatically install any software you have not agreed to.
Thank you again for your feedback. I wish you a nice day.
Hi @enesc
Thanks for your message!
This specific issue with translation loading was actually addressed and fixed in the Complianz plugin’s code several months ago. However, it can sometimes reappear if another plugin on your site triggers certain actions earlier than expected during the WordPress request, which might cause this particular problem to resurface. Following some reports, we’ve also discovered other causes for this issue reappearance, and our team is actively investigating and resolving them.
So, unless you’re running an outdated version of Complianz (in this case, my suggestion is to update the plugin), I recommend you try a few troubleshooting steps:
- Disable wp_debug temporarily (if it’s currently enabled) to see if the notices disappear.
- Deactivate all other plugins on your site, then reactivate them one by one, checking after each activation to see if the notice reappears. This will help you pinpoint the plugin that might be causing the conflict.
If you need further assistance or have any other questions, feel free to reach out again!
Kind Regards,
Roberto.Hi @cgomezg
Thanks for reaching out.
We actually send an automatic reply for every ticket we receive, so if you didn’t get a confirmation, it’s likely something on your email provider’s side.
I just checked our system and I did find your most recent ticket, and we’ve already sent a prompt reply through our private support. To figure out if your main email is having delivery issues, could you please try sending us the request from a different email address?
Lastly, since we’ve confirmed you are a Premium user, we have to close this public thread, since we follow WordPress regulations, we handle all paid support privately.
I wish you a nice day!
Kind Regards,

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Banner no se muestra en la paginaHello @edgarmartinez1 ,
Thank you for the message and the great troubleshooting summary.
Based on your findings, I believe the issue is likely not a conflict but rather the result of a specific behavior within Complianz itself. The banner will not appear if no cookies are found or configured in categories other than Functional.
The plugin is designed this way because, by default, a banner is not required for just functional cookies. If there are no other categories (like Statistics or Marketing) with services or cookies, the banner is essentially “irrelevant” and won’t be displayed.
Here are the conditions under which each category is shown:- Preferences will appear if at least one of the following is true:
- “Consent per Service” is enabled under Wizard > Consent > Services
- Google Consent Mode is enabled under Wizard > Consent > Statistics
- The WP Consent API plugin is installed and active
- Statistics will appear if any form of analytics/statistics configuration is defined under Wizard > Consent > Statistics
- Marketing will appear if at least one service is selected under Wizard > Consent > Services, or if the TCF framework is enabled
To see if this is the cause, please try activating one of these categories to see if the banner appears correctly.
I’ve also noticed that you seem to have changed your CMP on the website. Please let me know if you still need assistance with Complianz.Kind Regards,
Roberto.- This reply was modified 8 months, 1 week ago by robiub.

Roberto.Hi @rayeason , thanks for sending over the link!
I’ve had a look and I can confirm that the problem is caused by a CSS style that’s adding a red background to the banner’s close button.
To get rid of that red box, you can just add this custom CSS code to your site:
button.cmplz-close,
.cmplz-close {
background-color: transparent !important;
}You can add this code to your theme’s stylesheet or by using a dedicated plugin.
I hope this helps!
