In reply to: [Enable Media Replace] Replacing in bulkHi gercal,
We already have this task on our to-do list, but unfortunately I don’t if or when it’s going to be developed.
In any case, thanks for the suggestion!
Best,

In reply to: [Enable Media Replace] Replace from Library Instead of Uploading?Hi markxkr,
At the moment, Enable Media Replace is designed specifically to replace files by uploading a new version from your local device. Replacing one media item with another existing item in the Media Library isn’t supported, as it falls a bit outside the plugin’s intended functionality, especially when we are talking about 2,000 files to point to the same one — it’s more about updating a file rather than reassigning or re-linking images.
Because of this, it’s unlikely that such a feature will be added in the future.
As a workaround, if you need to bulk replace or reassign images already in the Media Library, you might consider using a plugin that can perform bulk updates or manage media attachments more flexibly, or handling it via a custom script if you have development resources available.
Best regards,

In reply to: [Enable Media Replace] New Image Filename & Year/Month FolderHi darrenc66,
Q: Just to be clear, if I want to replace an existing image that has filename “this-image-filename” should I name the new image “this-image-filename” ?
A: No, you can use any filename you like. When replacing the image, you will have the option to either use the old existing filename, or use the new filename.Q: And if the image being replaced is in year/month folder will new image also be uploaded to to the same folder year/month folder as the image being replaced?
A: That’s right.Q: Will the new image be uploaded in dimensions according to my current WordPress media settings?
A: Yes, it will.Q: Does the plugin leave any data or options after uninstalling?
A: No, it doesn’t.Hope that helps.
