From our tests we can see that the plugin does work on WordPress 6.8. Could you please try deactivating all plugins except Enable Media Replace? If that makes our plugin work, it means the problem is related to another plugin.

To better understand the issue, could you please clarify what exactly isn’t working on your Android phone? For example:
- Are you referring to the file not updating when scanning the QR code?
- Or are you accessing the bulletin directly from the website and still seeing the older version?
If you send us screenshots, or even better, a screen recording, it would really help us!
Also, let us know which browser or app you’re using on your phone, and if the issue happens in incognito/private mode as well. This will help us narrow down what’s going on and assist you more effectively.

We’ve tested this on our side and were able to upload and replace files with special characters like apostrophes in the filename without any issues. You can easily try it yourself by setting up a quick test site at tastewp.com — you’ll see that it works as expected.
The 403 Forbidden error you’re encountering is likely due to a security restriction or server configuration on your specific setup. This kind of behavior is not caused by the Enable Media Replace plugin itself.

You can actually configure ShortPixel Image Optimizer the way you want, even scanning the folders more often. You just need to use WP-CLI 🙂

I’m not really sure how exactly your solution is working, so the best you can do is try it yourself.

Unfortunately, Enable Media Replace is not compatible with WPML, so issues like this are expected.
We already have a task in our to-do list to do the integration, but I’m afraid we don’t have any ETA for it.
