Hello @incredimike,
Thank you for the clarification and for sharing these details. I appreciate you taking the time to report this.
We use the same detection method as the Action Scheduler to ensure consistency and avoid potential conflicts. In this case, the issue lies with how the database version is being detected at the Action Scheduler level.
I kindly request you to raise this issue on the official Action Scheduler GitHub channel. Once they implement the necessary changes in their detection logic, we will promptly update our plugin to align with their approach.
Thank you again for your cooperation and willingness to help improve compatibility.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Ally - Web Accessibility & Usability] Strange characters and serachHello @webcart,
Thank you for contacting us. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.
I request you to please open a support ticket with us. This will help us investigate the issue more efficiently.
Hello @incredimike,
Our plugin relies on WordPress’s Action Scheduler library, which internally checks the database version to determine support for certain features, such as JSON functions. This is essential for compatibility with background processing.
In rare cases, some hosting providers may return the database version in an unexpected or non-standard format. When this happens, the version check may not work correctly, which can result in unexpected behavior or errors.
You must change your database version to see which one works. You may consult with your Hosting Provider or Sysadmin, who is in the Best Position to help you in this regard.

In reply to: [Ally - Web Accessibility & Usability] Server error during loginHi there @anna88sabu,
Thank you for reaching out. I completely understand your concern, and I’m sorry to hear about the server error you encountered.
The Ally plugin requires a connection to your Elementor account so it can verify your access and activate the plugin’s premium features. This connection ensures that the plugin functions correctly and securely across your websites.
Since you’re facing a server error while trying to log in, here are a few steps you can try:
- Clear your browser cache or try logging in using an incognito/private window or a different browser, just to rule out any local issues.
- Temporarily disable any security or firewall plugins on your site, as they might be interfering with the login request.
- Check your server error logs to see if there’s a specific message that could help identify the cause of the issue.
- If possible, try connecting from another website to see if the issue is isolated to a single installation.
If the problem continues, I’d recommend opening a support ticket with us and including the following:
A detailed description of the error
- A screenshot (if possible)
- The URL of the affected website
This will help us investigate the issue more efficiently and provide a quicker resolution.
Best regards,
Hey @stefkilkenny,
Thanks for reaching out!
