Hi James,
How are you getting along?
Hi,
You will have to find the script that is causing the issue, to do this;
- Install the Blue Button Chrome extension
- Turn off minfication and load the page in your browser.
- In Blue Button, click on Scripts to get the list of internal and external JavaScript files on your site.
- Copy the list of JS files and add them to Minify Javascript >> Exclude the JS files from processing.
- Turn on minify
- Then, remove the files one by one, checking as you go to see if the script is causing issues. When the issue re-appears, you have found the script that you need to exclude from processing.
For the server compression, can you make a feature request here: https://teamupdraft.com/support/feature-requests/
I think there should be a choice of the two (some users don’t want it to happen on their servers but it is slow)
Hi,
The free plugin is not compatible with Multisites, you would need to use the Premium plugin
Can I have your website URL?
Now we need to find which script is casing the issue, to do this;
- Install the Blue Button Chrome extension
- Turn off minfication and load the page in your browser.
- In Blue Button, click on Scripts to get the list of internal and external CSSJavaScript files on your site.
- Copy the list of JS files and add them to Minify Javascript >> Exclude the JS files from processing.
- Turn on minify
- Then, remove the files one by one, checking as you go to see if the script is causing issues. When the issue re-appears, you have found the script that you need to exclude from processing.
Hi,
This is error reporting so it would only show warnings or errors relating to WPO. If there are none of these then nothing will be sent.
Can you make a feature request here: https://teamupdraft.com/support/feature-requests/
I will have a go at replicating this, if I get the same result, I will create an internal ticket
I am glad the issue appears to have resolved. I will leave this open for a couple of days just in case it re-appears.
Thats really unhelpful of elementor , they are just rephrasing what I have already said and entirely ignoring the issue of why the files are not there.
As a workaround, you can use the CSS you use in Elementor in the customize section of WordPress to make it load early.
Do you have any examples of pages that are not cached (I had a quick look but they were all showing the status wpo cache stats: cached.
If the error appeared whilst caching or immediately afterwards., it’s possible the server’s cache is still being updated. I would also check with your hosting and ask them to check the server’s cache settings and headers to ensure that 404 errors are not being cached and served incorrectly.
What language and what theme are you using?
Hi,
We have lots of users using the plugin on nginx.
In your hosting, under php modules, can you check that you have the mod_expires and mod_headers activated (if you are unsure you can ask your hosting.
first step is finding out wether it’s the CSS or JS minify. I would say its likely to be the JS. Can you turn the the minify off from the JS and CSS one a a time to confirm.
Would it be also possible to see your site without the minfy enabled?
Apologies, I must have been mistaken. It sounds like you have turned the merging off.
First thing I notice is this in Google page speed insights “Server responded slowly (observed 803 ms)”
You may want to check this with your hosting.
I would also try deferring some of the files under “Render blocking requests” in this report: https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-mydawgss-com/aoa13w6ei2?form_factor=desktop
