It’s likely you are out of space on your hosting, can you check this?

Can you try briefly switching to one of the default 202x themes to see if the issue perists?
This is just so I can verify that it is the theme for you too.

You do not need premium to delete your backup and you can get support here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/updraftplus/
Are you trying to delete the backup from the backup/restore tab and it’s not going?
If so, it’s likely the backup has been manually deleted but the DB record remains.
Can you try deleting the backup again but when you get the checkbox that says “..also delete from remote storage” it ‘s really important that you leave this UNCHECKED then press ok. This will remove the backup from the backup/restore tab.
If the issue is removing the backup whilst pruning please send me the log from tha backup/restore tab and post it using a tool such as pastebin.com

This is available with the premium plugin.
The backup will run at whatever time you setup the schedule (if you set the backup to run daily at 9.00 pm, it will run at 9.00 pm every day providing you have adequate visitor/real cron job)
When you disable the theme can you select one of the defaultwp 202x ones?
Can you also try downloading a fresh copy of the plugin and installing that?
It looks like we are going to have to do this the manual way I am afraid (I was trying to spare you from this!)
Can you deactivate all plugins and check if the issue is still there?
If it isn’t can you reactivate your plugins one by one until you find the offending one and let us know which it is?
If deactivating your plugins does not help can you do the same with your themes?

There is no reason that this should only be happening on scheduled updates. Cache issues would affect both automatic and manual updates.
EUM has a “Log” tab so it’s worth checking there for any issues. Here you can see the slack trace i.e a break down of what happened during the update.
