In reply to: [Rich Showcase for Google Reviews] Reviews won’t auto updateHi @simon_a6,
Thank you for your response and information.
According to the debug information you do not have your own Google API key, but it’s mandatory for reviews auto update.
Extremely detailed manual how to create your own API key is placed on the page: Google Reviews / Support / Full Installation Guide, after creating you need to save it on the Settings page.
Thanks!

Thank you for your topic!
Please go to the page Google Reviews / Settings / Google in wp-admin and turn on the option ‘Use old Places API‘, then click Save button.
After that, reviews should be reconnected automatically in 24 hours, or you can update these manually like show in this video guide:
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi @levdbas,
It should be fixed in the latest version 5.6.
Please reopen if it’s still available.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Rich Showcase for Google Reviews] Restrict access to pluginThank you for detailed description of this topic. Now it’s clear.
At the moment the role Author can create reviews widget (connect Google reviews), but not change a settings. For instance, this can be useful if the author wants to show reviews in their post.
By the way, there are several plugins designed specifically for differentiating roles and menus (pages), and it might be worth considering one of them, as they are tailored for this purpose.
So, we will take into account that such an option is needed. However, I cannot say exactly when it can be implemented.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Rich Showcase for Google Reviews] Place isn’t detected properlyHi @magikweb,
Thank you for your topic!
When I test your Google API key get the error message:
“error_message” : “This API project is not authorized to use this API.”
It means that you skipped two mandatory options when this API key was created. You can find this options in the installation guide on the page in wp-admin: Google Reviews / Support / Full Installation Guide (in the free plugin), the options 3 and 4:
3. Wait for creation and then click ‘ENABLE APIS AND SERVICES‘
4. Type ‘Places API‘ in the search area, select the first result ‘Places API‘ and click ‘ENABLE‘ button
So, in other words, you need to go to your Google Console, select the project where you created this API key and enable Places API in ‘API AND SERVICES‘ search page.
Please try and let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
