In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Dropbox Authentication ErrorHi,
Can you please try to Wipe settings from UpdraftPlus > Advanced tools > Wipe settings, Click Wipe settings button. Then re-setup your Dropbox remote storage.
Regards,
BryleHi,
Thanks for your report. To help us look into this further, could you please share a copy of the restoration log from when you restored the site? You can find it in your site’s wp-content/updraft folder. Since the log is usually too long to paste here, please upload it to a service like Pastebin or Dropbox/Google Drive and share the link.
The log should tell us more about how the database search/replace was handled during the restore, which may help explain why the Algori PDF Viewer links aren’t updating.
Regards,
BryleHi,
Thanks for the report and screenshot. The message shown indicates that the download was interrupted due to an internet connection problem rather than an issue with the backup itself. Please try re-downloading the backup file and make sure your internet connection is stable while doing so.
If the problem continues, you can also download the backup files directly via FTP or your hosting file manager from the wp-content/updraft folder – if you are using local server as backup location.
Thanks,
BryleHi @tanvirapb
Thanks for the detailed report. Since new backups are uploading correctly but existing ones are not showing or restoring, this suggests that the connection between UpdraftPlus and that particular Dropbox account is not returning the file list correctly. That’s why you can restore successfully when uploading the files manually, but not when scanning from the dashboard.
As a first step, please try going to UpdraftPlus → Settings → Choose your remote storage → Dropbox and disconnect, then reconnect using the same Dropbox account. When reconnecting, make sure you are logged into the correct Dropbox account in your browser, then re-authenticate through the popup.
If the problem continues, it’s possible that there’s a permissions issue with the UpdraftPlus app folder in that Dropbox account. Could you check in Dropbox whether there are multiple “UpdraftPlus” folders created, or whether the app folder has been moved/renamed? UpdraftPlus relies on that specific app folder, and if it’s altered the plugin won’t be able to list files correctly.
If you confirm that the folder is intact and the issue still happens, please send us a copy of the backup log from one of the failed restore attempts. You can find the log under Existing Backups → View Log. Since it’s too long to post directly here, you can paste it into a service like Pastebin and share the link. That will help us confirm exactly why the restore is failing for this account.

BryleHi @fxneumann
Thanks for your report. The warning comes from PHP’s unserialize() function and is triggered more strictly under PHP 8.3. It does not affect the success of your backups, which is why they still complete as intended.
These warnings will be taken care of in a future update of UpdraftPlus, so please make sure to keep the plugin updated. In the meantime, they can be safely ignored or you can suppress PHP warnings if you’d like to keep your logs clean.
Kind regards,
BryleHi @swissschokolade,
Thanks for reaching out. UpdraftPlus is tested and compatible with PHP 8.3, so the plugin itself should not prevent your site from updating. If you’re seeing an error when updating, it may be coming from another plugin, theme, or a server-level configuration.
Could you please share the exact error message you receive when trying to update?
Thanks,

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] How to fresh install UpdraftPlusHi,
Please can you provide us a screenshot or a short video recording of the issue? To help us understand the issue better.
You can use online tools like https://snipboard.io/ to send screenshots.
Thanks,
BryleHi @rogeh2012
Thanks for sending the log. I can see that the backup is already split at 50MB, but the upload is still stalling. Please try reducing the split size further down to 25MB. It will also help to increase the PHP maximum execution time to 900 seconds, and check with your hosting provider if your current plan can support that setting. Once those changes are applied, please try running the backup again and let us know if it completes successfully.
Kind regards,
BryleHi,
To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the full backup log?
This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab. The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.
Kind Regards,

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] How to fresh install UpdraftPlusHi @bcrodua
From your description, it appears that there is a conflict with other plugins.
Can you temporarily deactivate all other plugins except UpdraftPlus? Do you get the same issue if you do that?
Regards,
BryleHi Leandro,
To find out, can you send again a copy of the backup log?
The current exclusions are all okay nothing to be changed there.
Thanks,

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Improve disk IO for backupsHi,
You can add the below code line in the wp-config.php file
define(‘UPDRAFTPLUS_MAXBATCHFILES’, 2000);NOTE: You must insert this BEFORE /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */ in the wp-config.php file.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] How to fresh install UpdraftPlusHi,
f you want to completely start fresh, you can use the Wipe Settings option found in UpdraftPlus → Advanced Tools. This will delete all previous configurations. After that, you can deactivate and delete the plugin, then reinstall it from Plugins → Add New by searching for “UpdraftPlus.”
Also, could you clarify what you mean by “No response all the time”? Do you mean the plugin interface doesn’t load, or that backups don’t run?
Kind regards,
BryleHi Leandro,
I am seeing some warnings relating to the “Others” component. Can you exclude that as well for troubleshooting purposes please.
Thanks,
BryleHi @ahawtin
That message means the “Delete local backup” option is currently disabled in your settings. You can re-enable it by going to UpdraftPlus Settings → Show expert settings and checking Delete local backup. Once enabled, old backups will be pruned according to your retention settings.
Best Wishes,
Bryle
