Hi @macwillard,
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.
I’m sorry about our free version seeming not useful or feeling too limited, we try to provide as much value as possible to our users by communicating the Pro version features because a lot of users aren’t aware of them and can benefit greatly.
With MonsterInsights Lite, you’re able to track and view critical site statistics (such as page views in the last 30 days, top posts and pages, etc) and automatically track the following custom events:
- Download link tracking
- Affiliate link tracking
- Outbound link tracking
- Telephone link tracking
- Email link tracking
- Custom link click events
To learn a bit more about our features, please click here.
We also include two summary reports: stats at a glance, and a monthly email report. This is alongside other useful tools like a headline analyzer, a UTM URL builder, a widget for displaying the most popular posts, to help increase site engagement. When making any changes to your site, you can also add a site note to help keep track of the impact it has on your analytics.
Bot filtering is handled by the Google Analytics team directly, and by default, they automatically try to exclude known bot traffic in case that helps to know: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9888366?hl=en
But some do unfortunately get through. To help with this we recommend looking at using a Firewall or WordPress security plugin, and making sure all of your plugins are up to date. To get started, here’s a general guide you can check out: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wordpress-security/
We really appreciate you for giving us a try and if you have any suggestions for the things you’d like to see in the Lite version, please let me know and I’d be happy to share your feedback with the team.
Thank you!

Hi @femke98,
Thanks for reaching out.
This notice typically appears if MonsterInsights detects any duplicate Google Analytics tracking codes, which can skew your data.
To check your site for duplicate tracking codes, please see our guide: https://www.monsterinsights.com/docs/how-to-find-duplicate-google-analytics-tracking-codes-in-wordpress/
If you’re not able to locate any other analytics plugins or any extra Google Analytics code snippets being inserted into your website, our team would love to take a closer look into why it’s appearing.
Would you be able to reach out to us at https://www.monsterinsights.com/get-help/ so we can take a look at things directly to resolve it?
Thank you!

Hi @wetah,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m so sorry for the delay here.
It sounds like you may be referring to the scripts used for the Insights report found in the admin bar: https://a.supportally.com/i/LIuvVq
If needed, the report can be disabled to avoid further conflicts.
To do this, please go to Insights » Settings » Advanced and then scroll down to the Reports section. From there, toggle the Hide Admin Bar Reports option. Here’s an example screenshot: https://a.supportally.com/i/nB4v5I
I hope this helps for now. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Let me know if you have further questions.
Thank you!
Hi @oudedaf,
Thank you for reaching out. I’m sorry for the trouble here.
It sounds like you’re looking for the “Scan Folder for New Images” feature, as well as the Gallery link in the WordPress admin bar, is that correct? These have been deprecated in the latest Imagely release, but I appreciate your feedback and have noted your request to reintroduce these features.
In the meantime, if you need to access the deprecated Imagely settings, please follow these steps:
- Log into your WordPress dashboard.
- Add this query string to your website URL and press enter:
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=imagely-settings&tab=hidden - Your URL should appear like this:
https://www.mywebsite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=imagely-settings&tab=hidden
To enable the Legacy version of Imagely, toggle the button and refresh the page (see Toggle Button Screenshot).
This will display the legacy admin options under “NextGEN Gallery » Manage Galleries” where you can access options like “Scan folder for new images”, as well as add back the Gallery link in the WordPress admin bar.
Please keep in mind that these are deprecated Legacy settings, so our support may be limited if any issues arise.
I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.
Hi @brunocmb,
Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the trouble here.
Would you be able to try clearing your image cache? This can help if something became stuck or didn’t finish processing correctly during an earlier upload.
The Clear image cache button is found at Imagely » Settings » Reset Options.
Please let me know if that helps, or if you continue to have upload issues.
Thank you.
