In reply to: [EasyRotator for WordPress - Slider Plugin] shortcode doesn't workHi @elvena,
Please download and install the editor application directly:
Mac: http://cdncf.dwuser.com/EasyRotator/WPMgr/EasyRotator-Mac.dmg
Windows: http://cdncf.dwuser.com/EasyRotator/WPMgr/EasyRotator-Windows.exeAfter doing this, proceed with creating a rotator regardless of whether you see the notification at the top. If it persists, you can dismiss it as shown here: http://www.dwuser.com/support/easyrotator/kb/dismiss-install-box/
The original problem you described should be resolved by disabling the non-functional lightbox plugin.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillP.S. The post from @incredibledna is being handled through a direct support ticket s/he opened.

In reply to: [EasyRotator for WordPress - Slider Plugin] shortcode doesn't workHi @elvena,
Thanks for using EasyRotator for WordPress! I’m sorry you’re experiencing trouble. Please try creating a new page or post and inserting a rotator there. If the problem persists, double-check that you don’t have any other conflicting plugins installed.

In reply to: [EasyRotator for WordPress - Slider Plugin] AwfulHi there,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. If you could share some details about specifically why the plugin didn’t meet your expectations, we’d be grateful for any constructive feedback. As shown by the other reviews, there are quite a few other users who found the plugin very helpful, so perhaps there’s some misunderstanding that I could help you resolve.
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi,
Your CSS appears to now be applied, but the overall height of the rotator is too small. I recommend you add another declaration:
.dwuserEasyRotator { height: 400px !important; }The current values you’re specifying (e.g.
height:300px) require significantly more space, or they should be adjusted to be smaller.Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi,
Please double-check that there’s a space before the
!importantflag; for example:.erimgMain_slide { height:300px !important; }If you experience any further trouble, please post the URL of your page.
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi Isaac,
Here’s a thread with info about that modification: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/excerpt-not-populating-from-content
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi Isaac,
Thanks for using EasyRotator for WordPress. To add recent posts, open the Add Photos dialog and select the “WordPress Post Featured Images (Dynamic” tab at the top of the dialog.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi @jayce53,
Thanks for writing, and I’m sorry you’re experiencing conflicts. We’ve just pushed an update to the plugin (no version update – you’ll need to uninstall and then reinstall) that adds a custom class to all EasyRotator-generated dialogs, and makes the
.ui-frontCSS specific to those dialogs. This should avoid any conflicts with other plugins. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi Alex,
I’m sorry for the delayed response here; if you’re having trouble dismissing the “please install” box, please see this article: http://www.dwuser.com/support/easyrotator/kb/dismiss-install-box/
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

In reply to: [EasyRotator for WordPress - Slider Plugin] Responsive rotatorHi,
Thanks for using EasyRotator! For directions on making a rotator responsive, please see: http://www.dwuser.com/support/easyrotator/kb/responsive-dimensions/
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi Mary,
Thanks for your interest in EasyRotator. Unfortunately, only photos and videos (with text) are currently supported. You can, however, include simple HTML in the title and/or description text for each slide.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi Rebecca,
Thanks for using EasyRotator for WordPress! Unfortunately, this lightbox plugin uses ajax to load the rotator code, which is not officially supported because it often prevents the correct initialization of the rotator code. The solution is to not embed the rotator directly in the lightboxed posts, but instead use special
<iframe>code. To do this, note the specialerc_xx_xxxxxshortcode in your post. Replace it with this iframe code:<iframe src="/wp-content/plugins/easyrotator-for-wordpress/engine/main.php?action=renderFrame&path=erc_xx_xxxxxxx" width="400" height="300" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>Update the shortcode reference along with the width and height.
Sincerely,
