In reply to: [Cloudinary - Deliver Images and Videos at Scale] Cloudinary folder changedHi @markvis,
I have just replied to you and I believe I have an idea but I would need more information from you.
Let’s keep the conversation on the internal ticket.

In reply to: [Cloudinary - Deliver Images and Videos at Scale] Cloudinary folder changedHi @markvis,
I see you just opened a ticket to [email protected].
Let’s continue the conversation there.

LoicHi @nathangaw,
Thanks for reaching out.
If you inspect the broken image, you can see that for the 1024w and 400w the transformation appended to the URLs are w_0,h_0 which seems wrong to me.
Do you mind creating a support ticket to [email protected] with the following information:
- WordPress version.
- Cloudinary Plugin’s version.
- The theme that you use and its version.
- A full list of all other plugins that you have installed on your environment.
- Page builders that you actively use.
- A screenshot of your Media Library in list mode.
- A screenshot of your Site Health under the Tools Section.
- Hosting providers & Plan (AWS, WP-Engine, etc..)
- Multisite environment (subdomain/subdirectory)
- Do you have access to the WP-CLI?
Note that since version 2.7.0, you can use the new system report feature in order to generate all the information above except the screenshots.
If you can also add the image on the page to the report that could be helpful as well. You can find out how to do it in the 2nd video here.
Thanks in advance.

LoicHi @abelssch,
Do you mind creating a support ticket to [email protected] and share your system report? You can find out how to generate a report here:

LoicHi @spaceninja,
I was discussing this issue with my developer and we think you would be a good use case for our beta program. In a few words, we have a new way to deliver assets and we will be able to adjust the image size regardless of the PHP code to fit exactly the container dimension.
In your case, instead of using the resize method, you will just need to care about the container dimension and we will do the rest. Would you be keen to try it out?
In the meantime, would you mind also creating a support ticket to [email protected]? I would like to talk to you about your credentials.
Thanks in advance.

LoicHi @spaceninja,
Actually, someone reported a similar issue several months ago with the same setup ACF/Timber/Cloudinary. I don’t have the full resolution as he solved it by himself but he did mention it was due to transient cache on Timber.
Looking here, can you try to set a cache mode other than the default one which is the transient one?
Hope that helps.
Best,
LoicHi @spaceninja,
You are welcome, glad I could help 🙂
I will close this thread now but if you have any other questions, feel free to open a new one or reached out to [email protected].
Best,
LoicHi @spaceninja,
Thanks for opening the ticket.
I can confirm we received it and we are currently checking this issue internally.
While we continue the conversation over the ticket, I’ll keep this thread open until the issue is resolved.

In reply to: [Cloudinary - Deliver Images and Videos at Scale] SVG being converted to WEBPHi @asafm7,
Thanks for getting back to me.
There isn’t an option to subscribe to updates on particular subject but I see you also opened a ticket on our side. If you’d like, I can set the existing ticket on hold and I will try to update you as soon as I have some information to share on this subject.
Hope that helps.

LoicHi @spaceninja,
Thanks for reaching out.
Do you know where the images are stored? I would suspect that Timber might save a copy on their own specific location where Cloudinary can’t sync or find the asset. We do require to have all the assets stored in the wp-upload folder.
What if you clear the cache of your whole website? Do you still see the same behavior?
Thanks in advance.
Best,
LoicHi @spaceninja,
Those dimensions are applied when the image is larger than the dimension supported by WordPress (cf this note) which is 2560px. We do upload the original to Cloudinary but append those parameters to match this restriction from WordPress.
Hope that makes sense.

In reply to: [Cloudinary - Deliver Images and Videos at Scale] SVG being converted to WEBPForgot to mention that if you want to prevent this behavior, the only option is to set your Sync Settings to Manual Sync and only sync assets that you want to be synced.
For more information, please go over the following document: https://support.cloudinary.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017521280-WordPress-Plugin#sync_plugin.

In reply to: [Cloudinary - Deliver Images and Videos at Scale] SVG being converted to WEBPHi @asafm7,
Thanks for reaching out.It seems you edited your question but let me give you more details on SVG with Cloudinary.
WordPress doesn’t support SVG by default and for this reason, we decided to not support SVG as well. That’s why, normally, SVG should be converted to PNG when syncing them to Cloudinary. I presume, you may be using f_auto,q_auto in your URLs as well which will optimize the format and quality of the image based on the user agent. That’s why you may get the asset as a WEBP especially on Chrome.
On a side note, we are also discussing internally a way to support SVG.
Hope that helps.

LoicHi @designyourcode, @benbodhi,
I see @designyourcode also created a ticket as well via our website.
I have escalated the issue to my team with your suggestion and I’ll keep you posted on the action we will take.
Hope that makes sense.
Best,
Loic
