The plugin does not pass any personal information to Google when avatars are loading, it means that it does not have any relation to GDPR.

The plugin uses official Google API to show the reviews, unfortunately, this API does not work with a places without a physical address (service area or virtual).
You need to add a physical address to your Google place, because some time ago Google API stopped working with virtual or service areas. It’s a limitation of Google, not us or the plugin and according to this we can’t make a workaround for this. It will work only if you apply a physical address in your GMB dashboard for your Google business.

To make the reviews auto updated, please create your own Google API key and save it in the Settings. The extremely detailed manual how you can create the API key, you can read on the page Google Reviews / Support / Full Installation Guide.

1. Starting from the version 2 the plugin had change a shortcode, all options you need to keep in the widget(s). You can change and upload your own image by the following steps:
** Edit the widget on the page: Google Reviews / Widgets
** Click on connected Google place
** You will see the link to upload Google business photoExample screenshot:
2. It’s not possible via old shortcode, you should reinstall all shortcodes on your website if you have version greater than 2.0.
After that you can use the option: Common Options / Hide ‘review us on G’ button.

1. You can put the following HTML code under the slider shortcode:
<a href="https://search.google.com/local/reviews?placeid=<YOUR_GOOGLE_PLACE_ID>" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">See All Reviews</a>2. The plugin uses the Google Places API to get your reviews. The API only returns the 5 most helpful reviews. When Google changes the 5 most helpful the plugin will automatically add the new one to your database. Thus slowly building up a database of reviews. It’s a limitation of Google, not specifically the plugin.
The plugin can only download what Google returns in their Places API. It is usually the 5 Most Helpful (not newest) reviews. You can check what the API returns by entering your Place ID and Google API key in this URL:
However, if you got new reviews for your Google place, but the plugin does not show these, it means that Google didn’t include it to 5 most helpful and the plugin just can’t get this. It’s a limitation of Google, not the plugin.
