In reply to: [Enable Media Replace] How Does the Deal with WebP Images?Hi heyjoecampbell,
No, Enable Media Replace does not deal with WebP images. You must use other plugins to create WebP images from the replaced image, such as ShortPixel Image Optimizer.
Have a good one!
Hi trmkr!
Yes, of course, you can do that from the Media Library. Here’s a screenshot for your reference: https://i.imgur.com/APrWi2s.png
Cheers!
Yes, heyjoecampbell, that’s right 🙂
There is no numeric value, heyjoecampbell. Every time a single image is compressed and converted to WebP, our algorithms try to do this in different ways until the best quality/compression ratio is achieved, taking into account the compression method you have chosen (in this case, Glossy).
It’s best to do a few tests and then decide if Glossy is what you need. You can also check our knowledge base for more information: https://shortpixel.com/knowledge-base/article/lossy-glossy-or-lossless-which-one-is-the-best-for-me/
Best,

In reply to: [Enable Media Replace] Easy to take for grantedThank you very much for your review, itsViney! It really helps us keep going 🙂
Thanks for the message. We’ll take a look at that. In the meantime, don’t worry, if you are sure you are re-uploading the same file type, you can go ahead and replace it. The message is just a warning.
Thanks!
That’s right, heyjoecampbell.
Hi linqiabin!
That warning message is not generated by our plugin, and we also don’t have anything on the code that cancels WooCommerce background thumbnail regeneration.
I’d suggest checking this with the WooCommerce team, they’ll most probably have an answer for you.
Cheers!
Hi heyjoecampbell!
The WebP quality level is the same as the original JPG/PNG/GIF, which means that you choose it on the Settings > ShortPixel > General screen.
Cheers!

In reply to: [WP SVG Images] Works just as expectedThank you very much for the review! Glad to see it works for you 🙂
Thank you, fitzthe1, for your review!
Not a problem!
Hi @heyjoecampbell,
This is not possible unfortunately. However, you can always apply the following CSS to hide the options cosmetically:
#bulk-action-selector-top option[value*="shortpixel"] {
display: none;
}Cheers!

In reply to: [Enable Media Replace] This Saved Me Some DrudgeryHi favedave!
Thank you very much for your review, we are really happy you like our plugin 🙂
Regarding the note, could you clarify what you mean? I’m asking because the plugin does delete the image you are replacing; it basically overwrites the old image with the new one you upload.
Thanks!
